It is possible to use the smaller end. International, on the other hand, has a far superior tool specifically designed for the 7. 3 (or t444e as it's sometimes referred to). It's a more accessible design with a longer reach. This, however, is feasible. The international tool, on the other hand, is also cost-effective. It can be ordered by any dealer.
If your late model 2004 has a round pump rather than a cast iron pump, that will work. I believe they switched to the cast iron pump in late 2004, but I'm not sure. I have an early 2003 and it worked for the pump and I believe the oil rails as well. I replaced all of the o rings on the rails while I was apart.

This tool isn't appropriate for the 7. 3l, The long side is too open, but the short bent side is the right size, and I was able to remove the hoses using the short side. The tool's sole purpose is to depress the retaining clip, allowing you to pull the hoses off by hand.
It worked out perfectly; he arrived promptly and assisted me in completing the task. Anyone with an older Ford diesel who needs to replace their high-pressure oil lines will appreciate this kit.
It is a good deal. On 6, it was used. Oil rail for a 0 liter diesel injector.

I tried the smaller of the two forks on the 6 while waiting for the right tool to arrive. 0 tool, and it performed admirably on the HPOP oil lines in my 7.
