Almost all late-model GM vehicles, to be precise.
This set is only SAE compatible and is only for Ford, GM, and Chrysler vehicles.
I've only used it on a Ford F150 pickup truck, but it did the job perfectly.
I took the engine out of a diesel F350 and had no issues. But I won't go so far as to say it'll handle all of the lines. I primarily purchased this set in order to obtain some of the smaller tools, such as the jiffy-knife. tite and Toyota fuel line pieces, the set is about the same price as buying them individually. I've discovered that the six white round "a/c" line tools can also be used to make a variety of other lines.

I bought these primarily to remove the disconnect from my heater core on my 2008 Silverado, despite the numerous options and recommendations available. If you look closely, you'll notice that it's a very tight spot, and these worked perfectly. They were able to fit into the small space and, once in place, did exactly what they were supposed to. They aren't bulletproof, but I didn't expect them to break. They are unlikely to be used frequently in the near future, but I have them and will not hesitate to use them again if the need arises. br>br>3- if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to These were used to remove the stainless push locks for the fuel lines under the truck on my 2003 Duramax. They aren't clean because they have 230k miles on them. Because of the angle, they were difficult, but this kit came through once again.
In order to clean the injectors on my Duramax LB7, I had to disconnect the fuel lines. The 3/8" tool eventually separated the "quick" disconnect with some effort, but that only gave me hope that the 1/2" tool would separate the other connector. As a result, I squandered a ridiculous amount of time on the 1/2" side before finally admitting to myself that the failure was due to the tool, not me. HF ended up selling me the aluminum set, which I ended up purchasing. It cost nearly $30, but it completed the task in less than ten minutes. Avoid these at all costs. For greater leverage, get a set with handles.

On a silverado, I used a 3/4" wrench to remove a coolant hose from the heater core. I did it by hand with a flashlight and it worked perfectly; I read a lot of reviews from people who tried to do it the same way and failed miserably. I didn't need anything else but this tool. I simply slipped it over the heater core line coming out of the firewall, pulled it until it slid completely into the connecter, squeezed it to release the clips inside the connecter with my fingers, then twisted the connecter to help it break free and BOOM it popped off. MONEY THAT IS EASY TO MAKE. The coolant leak has been stopped for three weeks since I swapped the heater core connecter. It's not the most durable plastic, but I didn't break it, and I'm a rough tool user.
Very pleasant people to do business with; they cared a lot about whether or not I was satisfied with the product; I was impressed with their honesty and willingness to communicate effectively. Did I mention the best part? The price was reasonable, the tools were well-made for their intended use, and the customer service was excellent! If you require this item, simply purchase it.
It's all the stupid plastic adapters in one kit, as others have mentioned. Well, I have 8 or 9 random children from various auto parts stores. None of them were particularly successful. I've used this kit 5 times now and have never spent more than a few seconds disconnecting a line, so I assume the plastic bits are better than the others. There are no complaints, and all of the components are contained in a single, easy-to-transport case. As a result, I am content.
I personally would not purchase the less expensive clones because I am already familiar with the quality of the Lisle brand tools, which I have used for many years and have proven to be well worth my investment. These disconnect tools will make your life much easier if you use them correctly.
