It's great to have these tools and I am constantly using them. The quick-lock air fitting can be quite difficult sometimes and these tools are very helpful. As I use these pliers and the long angle nose pliers with a half circle on each side to grab the hose, and use these tools as leverage, the lines are faithfully pulled.
I was unsure of using these tools at first since I have tried some other types of tools to make the process of removing airlines from fittings easier, but I have to say these tools do make a real Airlines have a better grip even in tight spaces, which makes them easier to remove. I would highly recommend it.
It isn't a super tool, but it is one of those that is nice to have on hand when the need arises. In some cases, they are too long and I go back to stub wrenches, you might consider two sets I cut down to a size you can handle, since they are lighter than wrenches, and also provide better leverage when bent.
This seems to be a good product. The company has been used several times already The crescent wrench would be difficult to use - a twist wrench works great While I may not use these weekly, when I do - there is nothing better - There are no words that can convey how invaluable they are.
To push on tough ones, I used to use an open end wrench, but these are a lot more powerful.
A smaller diameter makes it difficult to grip when inserting the collar into an older connection. You can use a screwdriver in the same way. If you want to lightly tap the end with a small hammer, it's awkward. The airline fits perfectly into the bag.
I would love to have this item to carry when I am driving over the road. Breaking the line off at the fitting is no longer an issue. As a result, you can apply consistent, even pressure to the lock ring while freeing up your other hand to remove the rope.
It's a good tool if you aren't interested in buying those pliers with the springs and such. I work on refuse trucks so we do a lot of air brake work, so it's good if you don't want to buy those. The hose pliers are more difficult to use since they do not pull the line out for you, but I believe the effort is well worth it when combined with curved hose pliers.
