Questions & Answers

I got the tool, but one of the forks is bent rather than parallel to the same side. Is this normal?

Is it possible that you have a flaw? On fork spread, my tool appears to be the same, and it appears to be the same in any position I hold it. The square fork tips should be straight and the forks should rest flat where they press. I can't imagine bending it to use it for its intended purpose because it's such a stealthy tool. If you truly believe it is bent, it must be returned or exchanged.

Is there anything else you require with these pliers? On a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, I need to replace the ac lines in the condenser. ?

You'll need a quick disconnect that's the right size for your wires. For less than $20, you can get a whole set of them. I also have the Lisle set, which has served me well.

Could you please photograph the instructions on the package's back for me? I'm not sure how to use this product because I can't find my packaging. ?

Here's a video of the toll on the back of the packaging, as requested.

Will this method work on a 2005 Dodge Durango to disconnect the fuel line from the tank?

I'm not sure how the fuel line disconnect on the 2005 Dodge Durango looks, but if it's anything like the one on a 2008 Jeep Liberty that I disconnected, it came apart by removing U type clips that pulled out from the connector. This toll may aid in the separation of the line from the fuel tank if the connector is stuck. I didn't have it when I removed the fuel tank from the 2008 Jeep Liberty, but it might have been useful. I know it helped to separate the fuel filter with a makeshift large washer from a Ford Expedition with a slot cut out of it. Its filter was tucked away behind the transmission crossmember, and getting to it was difficult. Despite the fact that the tool works in reverse, requiring two hands to pull the handles apart, it provided the leverage required. Keep in mind that when the handles are squeezed together, the jaws are drawn together, and when the handles are pulled apart, the jaws are pulled apart. If there is a way to grab the line from the opposite side where it is released from, this tool is designed to press a disconnect tool into a spring lock.

Saves your sanity
5/5

I've been working on my 5 for a while now. 7L Hemi. I struggled mightily to remove the fuel line from the fuel rail. I had a nice set of quick disconnect tools and decided to purchase another to see if it would help. I couldn't get the line off no matter what I tried. This tool allowed me to apply the necessary force to the QD tool while simultaneously pulling the line off; after removing the line, I examined it and discovered that the fuel rail's inlet pipe was bent. That's why it was so difficult for me to remove it. This tool may not be necessary if your fuel rail is in good condition and straight. I'm glad I have this tool in my toolbox, and I'd recommend it to anyone who is having trouble disconnecting their QD lines.

These have a large spread between the crimpers, making them useless for lines with limited space
3/5

I bought these because I've always used my hands and it's becoming more difficult for me to apply pressure to my removal tool, so I figured they'd be useful. These have a large spread between the crimpers, making them useless for lines with limited space. I tried them on my 2001 F150 fuel rail line, but one of the lines had too much spread for the removal tool to work on. Another issue I had was that the top opening (U shaped) was too small to fit on my larger fuel line rail (Yes, Ford made two different size fuel rail connectors that are the same size, but the ends that connect are different), so it was useless. It might work on a few lines, but it's far from perfect.

WELL-MADE AND COMPLETES THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT WAS DESIGNED
5/5

The troublesome fuel filter release clips are a problem that necessitates the use of a specific tool. I've bought cheaper plastic clip release sets, but they come with their own set of drawbacks. The plastic sets will crack or break without a box to keep them together as a set. This wrench is designed to open a release clip whenever you need it without putting strain on the lines or connectors. All other methods of opening a fuel filter clip should be avoided if possible.

Perfect for removing the power steering hoses on a BMW 323i
5/5

Removing power steering hoses from disconnect connections has never been easier, safer, or faster, with no damage to any components. Especially for vehicles with very small and confined spaces, removal is a must. Although I had to remove the headlight assembly to gain easier and full access to the hoses, once they were exposed, the tool made disconnecting them a breeze. I highly recommend this high-quality, USA-made tool.

I was working on a 2015 Malibu LTZ with the 2
5/5

I used it to fix a stubborn PCV line. The PCV hose connects to the turbo via a metal fitting bolted to the turbo itself on a 0L LTG engine. Because of the angled attachment, no wrenches would fit. The coupler would not budge even after I removed the fitting with an allen screw. I experimented with a variety of tools, as well as various de-cluttering techniques. a variety of couplers, and so forth. This Lisle plier and a white fuel line tool, on the other hand, worked perfectly. These pliers would have made it easier to de-couple stubborn couplers in the past. couple.

This is a fantastic fuel hose tool
5/5

I used it in conjunction with a "scissors-style" tool to push the retaining clips in. It was a huge success. To release the clips, squeeze them first. Then, with your other hand, pull the fuel filter connector out in the proper direction. It might be necessary to apply a little pressure. on to assist with clip release, then remove the filter stem.

This is fantastic
5/5

This has changed my life! It's easy to use and it works perfectly. You must use this specialized tool. Because my BMW E46 has all those hoses with plastic in metal couplings, I use it. This was a very easy tool to use, and I had no idea how useful it would be. This is something I wish I'd had five years ago. It's well-made and accomplishes its goals.

Nothing seems to go with it
3/5

Although well-made, this item has yet to fit any of the lines I've tried it on. There are two issues here: The tubing will not fit between the fork prongs, and even if it does, the distance between the forks will not allow the spring tool to clamp down. So, what's going on? My money seems to have been squandered to me. Nothing ever seems to fit - whenever I go to use it.
