This is a fantastic substitute. The replacement is simple. Physically, this one is identical to the OEM one. It does appear to have a higher stall speed, which means you must rev it up higher before it engages, but that's fine; I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the stall speed.

I would strongly recommend this to anyone in need of a replacement for the original, and I wish they made a brass bushing that could be purchased separately from the rest of the kit.

It didn't work out

Our gokart did not work; everything fit and matched the original, but the gokart could barely pull itself along flat ground. Thankfully, I was able to get the kids going again using everything except the clutch.
