The converter bolts, I believe, are the first two answers. In addition, I'm looking for the bolt size that secures the cover to the block.
No, I don't believe so.
This is merely a protective shield against the elements. There are a number of possible causes for a noisy start-up.
1. a poor startbr>br>br>br>br>br Starting shims are required.br>3 The starter gear has a bad toothbr>4. On the flywheel, there is a bad tooth or teeth.br>5. Starter internals are faulty.
I believe the original bolt size was 12 mm.

Fit is excellent, and it will perform admirably. It would have been nice if the screw to attach it had been included as well. If anyone needs one, mine is a 5mm that I got from a hardware store.
A cover plate from a corvette torque tube had to be replaced with one that worked with a bolted up 4l60e/4l65e - This plate was excellent at its job. br>br>there is no bolt included - only the plastic part - I had one left over from removing the other piece, so I repurposed it.

If the bell housing is already on, you'll have to remove the starter and install both parts at the same time.
