I replaced my hood shocks after being blasted in the head over and over again by my previously failing hood shocks. I installed these on my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 and they worked perfectly. In order to fix my ATV windshield, I had to replace the struts. The clerks at an autoparts store need to be able to look up your car on their computer for you to get parts these days. For my ATV, I found these to replace the struts, and they work perfectly. The old struts could simply be pulled out with a screwdriver, and the new ones popped into place.

My hood will open as soon as I unlatch it. I'm very pleased with it. I find this so much better than factory, as soon as I unlatch the hood, the rest of the way is raised. This set was put on my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 six months ago and I have nothing but praise for it.

In my truck (2006 RAM 2500), I needed new hood struts. It met my needs because I didn't have to get anything fancy and was just going by reviews and price. Installing them was easy since they were packaged well. It was quite a difference that they were powerful enough to hold the hood in place. My OEM ones will eventually go bad on each of my other vehicles, so I will order these.

I purchased this as a direct replacement for my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi, 4-speed Truck with a door and a 2 x 4. It is literally a matter of pushing them into place once the old ones have been It is sufficient to use a rubber mallet of a smaller size. The smooth bumping of the ends of the old shocks off the pins and the gentle bumping of the new shocks on the pins are what I used to fix it. This is a very simple process.

The items didn't seem to be of any real use to me. I didn't know what was missing until it was too late! To be able to pop the hood and have it go up without having to worry about the hood falling on you is very nice. You don't have to worry if undoing a bolt will result in you falling over. We found these to be quite strong, and they hold the hood up really well! The best advice I can give you is to just replace your supports if the existing ones are starting to fail.

I have used them for the replacement of the OEM supports on a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500. They fit fine. It has a lot of lift pressure, is easy to install, and does not contain any defects.
