When the rear window lift is opened fully, it is 20 inches long. When closed, it is 12 inches long. My 2008 Chevy Suburban has no challenges installing them and they function as expected.

My 2008 Yukon Denali also had this setup installed without any issues.... Looks like it should fit your truck... You don't need special skills to set it up. It's just a matter of pulling the clips and pushing them in.

The four of them took about 10 minutes each to install. The old retainer rings were eased off using a pick (small flat head screwdriver will work) to remove them. Getting the old rods off each set of rods won't be an issue, so go ahead and get the four off each set of rods. The tops came off with a small pry bar for me, but yours may be as easy as picking them off with your hand. Be prepared for the gate or window to drop as soon as one rod is disconnected from one end. To snap the new windows on to the old ones, you have to first open the window and the tailgate to their maximum position. The gate was held in place as high as it would go by a step ladder and blocks of wood. My first step was to snap the top into place, then I moved on to putting the bottoms on and firmly pressing them down with the rubber mallet. It is an easy job for anybody to do.
This was an extremely good price for two of these and both took less than a minute to install The rear hatch - if someone hard presses on it - will snap right on - its a tight fit but it's not difficult. 2 people will be needed to do this I can tell you that they are You won't want to hold on if you weigh less than 90 lbs and are short because then you will be hanging in mid-air. You might have trouble closing it after you first install it but it becomes easier after a while. My wife had trouble closing it at first but has since mastered it. I could easily pull the hatch down because the old weaker ones were drooping down and it allowed my rear hatch to droop down - she was used to the old weak ones that we had. There's a little muscle you need to pump but that's not what the point is, is it? My love for them never ceases.
I could not believe how well these matched my 07 Tahoe. It lifts rear glass to the ideal height. As of today they are working fine, but we will have to see how long they will last.
Replacements for the Escalade that are great. The exterior of the rear lid needs to be held up by someone when swapping them out. It takes about 15 minutes to replace. Pop out the clips on the backside of the ball socket on top and bottom of the old gas shock/lift with a small screwdriver. There is a great deal of weight to the lid. The old ones are easier to remove if you lift up on the rear lid. Be prepared to grease the ball before replacing it with a new one by having a small dab of grease available. With the new ones, they simply snap on after they've been clipped in. Ensure that the socket is lined up with the ball by striking it with the palm of your hand or a small rubber mallet.
In comparison to the original dealer ones that lasted for more than ten years of extremely active use, the other lift gate supports did not last as long as the original ones. The amount of work I've done is not excessive These were fine, went on smoothly, had instructions on them (which I did not need since I replaced them before, but would have had I not already done so). These seem to work just as well as the previous replacement pair hopefully they will last longer!.
It has happened before that one of these failed and the replacement was "too stiff". The hatch was difficult to close because of the obstruction. I like these very much. An easy to use interface The closing process is easy. Price was lower than I could find on most sites, so I was concerned they may not be built well and might not work. I have so far not found them as good as the supports I made This is a product I would buy.
This is much better than the brand I replaced them with. It's not too stiff like the old brand. We'll have to wait and see as the temperature drops if they perform at the same level in temperatures below the teens. Right now, I am perfectly satisfied with the situation.
I replaced my old lift shocks for my Yukon XL back window, but they no longer worked. My old ones were in need of replacing, so I bought these. As a result, they are far more functional and fit perfectly than the originals. These are great. I'm glad I bought them.
