One set that is simple to change
For my '11, it said the same thing. They were made to go together.
Yes. My own BMW 325i was purchased in 2006, and it not only fits but also functions perfectly!
Yes, it is compatible with three different series. My car is a 2008 BMW 335i. It works, but not as well as OEM struts, which slow down and come to a graceful stop without jarring. Before tackling it, it would be beneficial to watch the YouTube video on how to replace something.

They appear to be extremely powerful. It's becoming increasingly difficult to remove the hood. They make a strange noise and feel rough in the last inch or so before the hood is fully open, so I'm giving them a four-star rating. The other issue is that the connection points are larger, so they rub against a wiring harness on the passenger side of an '08 BMW 328i, potentially causing a short if the hood is opened too much. The original strut has more clearance. To protect the wires, you may need a small piece of foam or thick tape.
Bad: Because there is no damping mechanism on the struts when the hood is opened, it pushes to the top and stops and flaps violently several times before settling. The hood extends "gently" the final few inches with OEM struts. br>The heavy hood flaps multiple times with these. It looks like a cheap car, which is god awful. br>As a result, my original struts are a little more difficult to lift up, but they aren't as harsh as these struts. br>I'm considering replacing them. To me, this is not a good purchase. I wouldn't recommend these unless your struts are completely shot. br>Because there was no grease on the round hinges, I greased them. br>Installation is simple, but make sure you watch the video first. br>Good: Installation is simple and inexpensive.
My car was purchased used, and the front hood would never stay open on its own. I decided to fix it after a few years, so I purchased these. To replace the old ones, all I needed was a flat head screw driver, and the installation took only 5 minutes. The struts are already pre-installed. The socket joints are lubricated on the inside.
My 2009 BMW m3br>Convertible E93 has just had them installed. My front hood shocks had just failed, so I purchased these. These are the wrong ones, according to what I read on the internet, but they work great. br>Super strong. They may differ by a quarter inch, but they work great and only took 5 minutes to complete. br>On the lightweight M3 Hood, one shock is more than enough.
Hood slammed into me three times and completely destroyed me. I started with a 2x4 but it got in the way of my work so I decided to give these a shot. Installing these was a breeze, and once they were in place, they held the hood in place admirably; even one shock is sufficient to keep the hood in place. The only problem I had was removing the old ones, which had nothing to do with the product. I spent about 20 minutes picking at the little spring clips on each one before they all lifted up and popped off. It's a good price, and it's well worth it to avoid having to deal with a shoddy hood or the risk of the hood falling on you.
There will be no more guillotine hoods, thank you very much. It's also quite simple to put on. To remove the old ones, simply pull them out slightly on the joints (with a very small screw driver) and replace them in the same manner. I'm a woman who has no experience with automobiles. These are simple to put in.
It works, and installation was simple and quick, but I'm concerned about the item's longevity because, first, it's made in China, and second, when I received it, it appeared to be very cheap in comparison to my previous ones. But I'm crossing my fingers that this will be the case for a long time!.
These things are under a lot of pressure, so make sure you have some good gloves to grip them with so you can push the piston back into place. I'm very pleased with this heavy-duty and high-quality part.
