That should be the case. I had no trouble fitting it
The pair does indeed consist of two pieces. This is a great purchase. As a matter of fact, they are much more effective than the factory-supplied lift supports. Additionally, they are roughly half the price of replacement parts that Jeep sells. The supports are worth every penny, and I would recommend them without hesitation.
Thank you for your inquiry. This front hood lift support should fit your 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We will be glad to answer any question you may have. It was a pleasure working with

Then click on the link. It took 3 minutes to install! Online auto parts shopping is always a little squeamish for me. You either hit it or you miss it. Nonetheless, these babies fit like a charm in a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This is a very powerful experience. The new version is likely to be better than the original, but we'll have to wait and see. It has already cost them a chunk of money and I don't fear opening my hood at all anymore.
It is completely necessary for me to work on my Jeep every week because it is a Jeep and the hood keeps falling on my head. Usually, I am numb from the belly button, so it was pretty easy to deal with- As good as I can play on my feet, but my doctor reckoned I'm only about three concussions away from the cognitive capabilities of a severely inbred goldfish, so I bought What they do is what they are supposed to do. My life is pretty happy right now. The product was excellent and I would purchase it.
The end piece of the speaker is held together by a metal clip that must be removed for the speaker to be installed. It is only through much verbal assistance that you can remove these things that are a real test of your Christianity. As these units do not include heads, you should remove the heads from your old units, if they are in good condition, and slide them over these units. Thanks to the heads, it's not too hard to unscrew them, but that damn clip is a pain.
Although the new lift appears fine, it will be revealed in the coming weeks by the cold weather. Using the #7 star bit and ratchet to remove the old support with a #7 star bit was all kinds of horrible rain hell to hold up the heavy tailgate. As long as the old support was still in tension, I had difficulty aligning the bolts for removal. I drenched the old bolt with penetrating oil, and then I had to drench the bolt with penetrating oil again. cannot speculate which bolt would be better to remove first, but the reverse would have been just as bad if we had installed the new support bolts first. If you are shorter or your wife is slightly shorter, you may wish to prop up the tailgate completely all the way with a firm support so you can line up the bolts accurately (not a good job for short folks). Otherwise, you may strip out After one installation, I abandoned the project and waited for the.
The fact is. These items at first looked broken because I had a difficult time compressing them by hand after I mounted them on my Jeep hood these things are awesome they not only hold up my hood open but will lift it up when released very sturdy and solid product for the price, overall an excellent product.
My new ones are indeed identical to my OE ones and the compressed size is the same as my OE ones.
It has taken me less than a minute to install both sides.
Thanks!.
Perfect! I'm so happy with this. Several months after getting a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee from a used car dealer, the hood wouldn't stay up or open on its own. I was able to replace the old supports with these in less than five minutes (and I have never been an expert mechanic), and they still worked throughout the summer. The few dollars are well worth it.
It was impossible to compress them by hand. It looked like the buttons were seized, but when I attempted to put them on, they worked. The problem is as follows. The price they charge is too high for the specifications in regard to the hoodie's weight. As soon as I release the hood, the hood wants to open with too much force instead of being a nice and easy lift. If I hold onto the hood and allow the hood to rise, it will not pose much of a problem.
