Its tube measures five eighths of an inch and its shaft is a quarter inch. The measurements aren't exact due to the fact that I didn't measure my own precisely. The estimate is just a rough one.
There's probably too much weight on each of them, rated at 45lb
There are only four bolts, and they are only 1/2 to 5/8 inches. The strut itself is awesome. The number one spot is not even close. 24" x 25"

The numbers do not add up to In terms of length, it was 5 inches long (by an inch and a half short) and had a surprising amount of force. I plan to return. I've updated the rating to 3 stars due to the overall customer service experience. As a result, the company got in touch with me and informed me the lifts were mislabeled and offered to send me the correct ones. Despite the fact that I went with a different brand, they still offered any tech support i needed, regardless of whether it was their product or not. Good customer experience goes a long way.
My original shocks were all worn out, which meant that I had to locate a suitable replacement pair. In the original configuration, the struts were rated at over 33 lbs of lifting force. An original design would have been too light to lift at least a part of the lid on a 100 pound box. work great and fit perfectly, and the 10mm sockets snap right on and are ready to use. The force of 45 lbs is far superior to even when they were new. I recommend it.
It is made of heavy fiberglass and it is a cover for a truck bed. There is no problem lifting it with these struts. It took me about 10 years to replace the last struts on this cover. That should be enough time for these to last. Easy to install and a very solid product.
A pair of these made the job much easier. There is great customer service too. Support at Arana helped me choose the right size struts, and even followed up with me after I got them to make sure they suited my needs. In the initial installation, I had to use far too much force to close the door, so they made recommendations for the mounting locations that could be changed. I was able to make the adjustments and the struts operate smoothly after that.
The items do exactly what they are supposed to do. It's nothing out of the ordinary. However, they came with a spring loaded ball socket lock and not the old design with a wire lock that could be removed. * Each time you place them on over the ball, they will automatically click into position. You just need to follow the steps.
As part of the work Vigor helped me figure out which parts I needed and exchanged parts that didn't work (the first set of struts I got was 3" away from allowing the galley hatch to close). It is honestly one of the best upgrades I have ever made and I'm glad I found one that worked after all. There's no need to prop up the back with 2x2 poles anymore! The only thing it does is up and stay up.
Everything I needed came with it, and I was pretty much able to plug it in and go. I use these on a Nissan Titan crew cab from 2006, as a reference.
A perfect It is very fast and even slows off a bit as it reaches full extension, so no more popping at the very top. This 5ft Tacoma tonneau cover is made in America.
