Questions & Answers

Is this 1,5 fan speed able to run?

There are 5 speeds on the fan on a I had a problem with my high setting, too. My speed has been restored to all five now that I replaced it. It is YouTube that has replaced it.

Can anyone tell me whether this particular part comes with a 2 hole or a 4 hole mount on an 05 Tahoe?

They should have a 2 hole design, but they have a 4 hole design,

What if my Silverado is a 2003 model?

Most of the parts in 1999 to 2007 are the same. In this case, the biggest issue is not if it works, but if it will fit on the two "screw anchors" when you attach it. Taking the old one off and comparing it to the new one was what I did. Once it arrived, the item and fittings looked the same, and when I installed it, it worked flawlessly and matched my 2006 Sierra 2500HD perfectly.

What happens if I have a 2004 suburban Z71 with manual controls and I attempt to install this unit?

To be sure, you need an exact match of the part number.

The problem may be that you have a one-hole model or a two-hole model
5/5

If you drive 50 thousand miles a year, you will need a new one every five The fit was fine. Before the total failure, I had lost a couple of speeds. My wiring harness would have suffered if I waited since I put a lot of strain on it. This is the TWO HOLE MODEL, which I'm uploading a picture of. Under the dash, remove the sound barrier cover to see if your vehicle has the two hole model or the single hole model. It will take about 10 minutes. You can find out whether both fit on Amazon and other sites. The two are not interchangeable, and you have to choose one or the other. A one hole model is designed to fit in the box at an angle.

The 2007 silverado classic is compatible with this part
5/5

Would like to confirm that this fits a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado You will need a 7 mm socket to remove the screws beneath the black cover on the glove box. it's right in front of you. Pull the two harness connections apart and remove the two screws by using a 5mm screwdriver. The socket is 5mm in diameter. wish to test if the existing part is faulty you will need a multimeter and you will need to test continuity from both the top and bottom little resistors. Interestingly, I had continuity from the bottom fan to the top but no continuity from the bottom to the top, and my symptoms were that the fan worked on high (5) but not on 1,2, or 3. The new part was installed and the problem was fixed.

As of now, everything seems to be going well
5/5

In most cases, if you have a fan that is constantly on or is missing certain speeds, this is the reason for In my case, speed 1 and 2 did not work, but speed 3, 4 and 5 worked like a charm. Fits my 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 manual climate control with 4 holes (2 on either My original one failed after about 5 years, so I replaced it with an aftermarket that lasted about the same amount of time. We can assume that these things don't last very long at all. It is simple to install, just remove the black trim piece left in place under the foot area on the passenger side. The motor and resistor are both located under the dash next To replace the old resistor, merely unscrew and unplug the old one, and then reverse the process. Please let me know if you have any diarrhea If there are any bits of electric grease laying around, liberally coat the pins of the new one since these are often prone to moisture damage.

You can replace this part with the original AC Delco part
5/5

They make two styles of this part. 1) I have a 2004 ext cab with a The truck has 2 parts that match, first check the one you have to see if you need the 2 ears with 2 mounting holes, or the 4 ears with 2 mounting holes (it lines up a bit differently). Plug and play! It worked great! Attached is a photo of my unit, which matches the one I received exactly. Thanks a lot!.

Changing the gasket on the blower motor of the A/C in your car
5/5

I was so impressed with how easy it was The blower of the air conditioner is immediately fixed. After a short period of time, your air conditioning starts to blow If you intend to install, watch a YouTube video first. This part is easy to install. It is located under the dash or The old one must be unplugged and the new one plugged in. I have replaced the part a couple of years ago, and all is still working fine.

Avoid buying spare parts too early
3/5

You should buy spare parts according to warranty expiration times, not installation times. When I bought this resistor, I did so as a spare 14 months before I installed it to replace the As the original owner of this truck, I am responsible for it. There were only two speeds on the fan before installing it. The old one was removed and replaced now before the weather got cold enough to defrost it. My regret is that I waited until the warranty expired before I could have it installed. It failed to work after installation of the high speed (5). When contacted about a return, the warranty expires in 12 months or 12,000 miles, so the seller declined. A defect was present from the factory in the resistor. A resistor from Advanced Auto comes with a 2-year warranty on the same resistor used by General Motors, so I will consider buying one locally for better customer service. Unfortunately, this item is defective and has nothing to do with the seller.

It's a junk part made by AC Delco, but what do we have to lose? Adding to the list of AC Delco products with poor design
3/5

Since I had the first one replaced as part of a recall by GM, I had the connector installed correctly, I do not know enough about this component to have to replace it every 50K (+4 years), but what can I do? Thankfully, it is an easy replacement part and there are plenty of DIY videos online that show you how. Here are some pictures of the old part once it was taken off.

This is a perfect match for my '04 Avalanche with manual AC controls and no center The title states just what the article is about
5/5

During the installation, I spent about 15 minutes doing so. Thanks to the fact that none of the power cables had melted, I was able to just connect the new resistor pack to the dash and mount it again. The most challenging part was getting to the two screws in the hush panel/cover because they were so small and were hard to reach with a stubby screwdriver. I have not encountered any problems since installing the program.
