Probably you'll need both if you need to use a resistor
5/5

It was a resistor for the F-type battery Positions 3 and 4 only worked since the blower was only functional on these two positions. As it turns out, when I went to install it, this part is also fried along with the resistor like EVERYBODY else. Simple to install.

Easy to use. It wouldn't be convenient to splice them in anywhere else, but the wires were clearly long enough for that. In order to prevent the wire connectors from all bunching up at one spot, I recommend you cut each wire to a different length. Connecting wires and connections further apart in the wire casing makes it easier for all of them to fit.

My 1996 Ford Bronco XLT is a perfect fit, so I'm glad I bought it
4/5

I am so pleased I was able to find this replacement wiring harness on Amazon with Prime at such a fantastic price. My factory connector was damaged/burnt due to corrosion on the resistor and on the harness. This indicates that the excessive heat from the resistor can burn the connector. It can also occur due to the fact that an old blower motor with corrosion and rust in it will overdraw the circuit as well, causing it to draw too many amps. The best way to resolve this problem is to replace the resistor pack, the wire harness, as well as the blower motor and foam seal. A certain part might not be replaced or fixed properly, and this may cause the wiring to melt and catch on fire. Since the supplied crimp connectors did not work with the pcb, I chose to solder and heatshrink the connections instead. My labels were printed on a label maker, so even though all the wires on the connector were black, I labeled each one before installation. A factory harness of 12G matched the wire gauge of the wires. A new blower motor resistor for Ford Motorcraft was perfectly matched and fits into the plug securely. Before inserting the connector into the resistor socket, I recommend dabbing some dielectric grease on each of the terminals of the connector as well as the edges of the connector. By doing so, the terminals will be kept dry for a more long-lasting connector and to minimize corrosion over time, as well as which will help lubricate and seal the connector as you insert Having said that, I took one star away because the ends of the crimped terminals that were pushed into the connector from the Dorman factory (not those supplied by the company) did not fit snuggly into the Dorman connector's plastic body. The plastic terminals wiggled inside the container because each was loose. bothered me because the factory one was solid and did not appear to play at all. Using silicone caulk/sealant to secure and seal the terminal into the connector would work to fix this issue. Squirt the caulk into the backside of each terminal hole to make the terminals permanent. All in all, I would say this was a great product, and it played a crucial role in helping me get my motor running safely with all the speed options. I want to thank Amazon and Dorman for making my day!.

The following will be helpful to you! Your Ford truck will 100% require a new blower motor resistor along with the old one if you intend to replace your old Since the existing one will rust together with the resistor, and the plastic housing will be brittle and likely to break regardless of how careful you are, you should replace it with a new one
5/5

The harness will save you a lot of headaches, so buy it now. It's easy to install if you have some mechanical or electrical skills or can view a YouTube video on how it's done.

The project has been a complete success
5/5

There are nine Dorman 973s in this model. In my case, the 307 harness was exactly what was needed to restore service to the HVAC fan in my truck. It goes with the 973-HV blower motor resistor The two applications worked perfectly in this case. The photo illustrates what I mean.

The OEM connector I bought from you replaced my burned one To go with my 2014 E-350 blower motor resistor I initially purchased one of those Due to high fan speeds in my 250 Ford van, I had no other choice but to purchase a new van
5/5

I removed my old resistor as soon as I received the new one and noticed that the connector had corroded badly and was completely melted. As soon as I received the new one which had Stak-On Now that I have all four fan speeds on my crimp connectors, I can easily install new fans. In any case, there is no need for instructions since none were provided. You can cut off the old connector wire, strip it, and then crimp it to the new connector at the same place. There is no way to connect the wrong wires to your new connector if you do it one at a time. You'll love it!.

Thanks! It works like a charm! Although the "Vehicle Compatibility" matrix told me the plug was incompatible for my Ranger, I bought it based on the photo
4/5

It looked identical to the OEM plug on my car. There are no differences among the wire colors, but the wire colors are exactly the same. The rope is spliced into four parts. It only took me 30 minutes to install it and return to four fan speeds. The pro's are Please note
This is an exact copy of an OEM plug-in. A heavy-duty vehicle A copper wire that is heavy duty - It includes a remote control There are a few cons (albeit minor ones) to this method Please note
The harness is all black and does not match the OEM one. The wire color used on the models may be different due to variation from year to year. It is no problem to wire it up the same way it was originally. Please note
The photo includes a misrepresentation of the situation -- I don't have heat - Shrink is included as well. The majority of people do not own it, so it would be nice to have an extra. It was a good idea, and I covered the splices with it so it would be more protected. I gave it 4 stars because of the misleading photo. This software is rated 5 stars for its actual functionality.

Plug for blower motors on It's not necessary to color code the wires with factory colors, but it would've been nice to have that option
5/5

Doorman seems to make good products, with top quality, just wish the wire colors were factory-selected. In addition to Ford trucks, these replacement plugs may fit other Ford vehicles as well.
