In my 2000 GMC 1500 Sierra it fits and works great, and there haven't been any changes to the 1500. So it should also fit in
If I were you, I would not bother, what's the point? In my case, I can only reach speeds of 3 and failed the 4th level almost instantly. The next time I need auto parts, I will just go to my local Nappa or Autozone. *br>But, I will never come here again.
I used it on my 2000 Silverado 1500 with no problems. It is only a matter of finding a resistor that will work with a 5-speed blower control that I am having trouble with. All of them work past the 4 speed. I have tried a variety of them. Through each of the 5 settings on the control, I checked voltage flow to the resistor. On the 5th speed, voltage is going into the motor, but not out. The five speeds should work even if you don't have a fifth speed on the blower control.
As of 1999, it should The same thing happened in 2003.

My 2003 Silverado 1500 regular cab came with this. The video is for anyone who owns one or is interested in one of the numerous Chevrolet or GMC vehicles that are basically the same vehicle. It was recommended by Amazon that this would fit my truck, so I ordered it. There was only half of the truth in what they said. Stock resistors have the same mounting holes as this one, but they need to be attached to the truck using an adapter. It won't fit in the truck, however. Since the adapter doesn't fit over the resistor, it shouldn't fit in the truck safely. While it will operate, it won't sit perfectly, and you can only rely on one of the two mounting holes for the mounting. In the event that you do not wish to modify it, then keep looking for something else that is more plug-and-play.
The result was that now I could operate at all five Unfortunately, now it cuts off for no apparent reason, and I have to wiggle the part to bring up the air conditioner. The blower motor and all that stuff are not covered by a plastic shroud on the truck, so it is easy to get to them. In that case, it would be a lot more difficult to get it back on if it were on the truck. The device has only been with me for less than a month, so I will update you as time goes by as to whether or not it performs. I did not experience any problems on my 02 extended cab silverado. There were no screws sticking out. A rear air conditioning system is not available.
The mounting holes also fit perfect, and it's very easy to install this part. The black cover of the foot well on the passenger side is held in place by two 7mm bolts. This resistor is then attached to the board by two 8mm bolts. From what I can tell, it's an updated version of the original design. For the vehicles with manual climate control, this resistor is required. This means they are equipped with blue and red sliding dials. Please note this part does not fit if you have the climate control system with an electronic screen or the circular dials for selecting the temperature! There is an alternative part you should be searching for. I believe many of the poor reviews concerning the resistor not fitting correctly have to do with.
I bought it in March 2016 and I got four years out of it (bought it in March 2016). I liked how easy it was to replace it. As for the OEM one, I give it three stars since it lasted 16 years.
Parts for this computer were direct replacements for originals. Installation was a breeze due to the perfect alignment of the mounting holes. It is now possible to control all five fan speeds. The product is fantastic!.
In order to get (2) 5, you will need Interestingly, it is not direct replacement as it is not 1/2" deep, not 1/4", but it is 1/4" deep and only one bolt holds it on (as opposed to two bolts) however, we knew that and ordered it regardless. I owe 15 bucks to you for your air work, thank you.
However, to secure it, it was necessary to cut and modify the plastic hold down on my truck. It wasn't a big deal, but you should.
