It's not difficult to replace the resistor if your wiring pigtail is in good shape. You only need to remove 2 screws (6 or 8 mm heads, I don't remember which) if the wiring pigtail is in good shape. The originals kept burning out, but when the new components came in, they would work for a few days and then I would lose 3 and then 4 on me (within a month of installation). A new wire harness kit, another new blower motor resistor, and a new front blower assembly were needed to fix the problem. TYC 700071 Dodge Replacement Front Blower Assembly which is also on Amazon can be paired with this replacement kit if you are in need of a wire harness. I have purchased the OEM wire harness kit and the replacement kit has worked for me for over a year with no problems. I used it for my 2004 Dodge Durango SLT 4 and it worked perfectly. The score is 7. I could only get my blower fan to run on the high 3 and 4 settings, nothing on the first two I am able to turn the fan on all 4 settings after installing the fan blower resistor mentioned above.
