Questions & Answers

How many cans of paint are in a kit?

The seller is not telling the truth, there are only four plastic cans in the package $23 would be the cost of the dip at Walmart. The tax for this item is 28. Despite this, their kits consist of pre-mashed bananas and fruit loops It is well worth it to spend a little extra money on dip.

Can you tell me what the temperature requirements are? At what temperature could I put this on?

How can it be 40 degrees? The celsius?

How is the stock coating removed from the wheels? Do you have to sand them ?

It is completely unnecessary to sand the wheels and will damage their OEM finish, as others have stated. You can apply them by simply cleaning them, drying them, and applying. If you wish, you can soak as long as you like, then peel it back to get back to the original

In the snow, how does it perform?

As a result, it will cling to dirt and mag chloride more than a sheer metal wheel or powder coat, so gentle scrubbing must be performed to keep it clean, not just power washing. Coatings are not affected by snow because snow does not affect their longevity or durability. You can use this to protect wheels from chemical corrosion through a salty winter if you take precautions against overspray, apply it thick enough to be removed easily (about 5 coats), and take preventative measures against overspill. When the polish is too thin, you'll probably damage the wheel by trying to scrub or peel

I found the best way to remove wheels and line to be removing wheels
5/5

It worked exceptionally well and can look professional if you have the time and dedication to do it. It took me four cans to finish a project. I found that the best method was to cut off the wheels and line the edge of the rim and tire with playing cards to create a barrier to prevent overspray. Ensure your wheels are very clean before you begin. Then use small quick sprays, not long continuous ones, to go over the whole wheel a little bit at a time. Using a lot of it made it look A couple of coats of paint were necessary to cover the entire wheel and get different angles, but it It was imperative to allow the paint to dry between coats. I used a hot air gun to speed up the drying process. It has been 3 months now and it looks like it was done just yesterday. After it's very dry (at least 4 hours), don't drive it, or you'll either make it spiral outward or it'll spray off the wheels.

The app does its job and looks great at the same time
5/5

In addition to watching videos and learning how to apply, I also took advantage of the online tutorials. When you know what you're doing and you follow a few basic rules, like not spraying with the wheel in a flat position, it's very easy. The wheel needs to be upright when spraying. Using the playing card trick, I lined the outside of the rim between the tire and wheel, overlapping to prevent being sprayed onto the rubber tire. Take your time, apply many coats, and only use one bottle per tire. You should have very little left As a way to make sure I applied each spray evenly, I allocated each to a single tire.

If you screw it up, let it dry, then peel it off and start over.

What is the cause of people's complaints? Plasti- cians complain and give them to the people They do not use the dip properly, so they get a bad reputation
5/5

To do it correctly, you should start off with a thin coat and gradually increase the thickness until you run out. There should be no more than one rim per person! Simply put, it is so easy. Add 3 to the total The glossifier spray must be sprayed four times. The durability of the materials is superb. After it had dried and cured, I jammed my fingernail full force into the wheel, and not a scratch was visible. To use it correctly, you need to follow the instructions.

This is garbage
3/5

Plasti dip has never failed to satisfy me yet. I've had it many times and never had any issues. It seems like the 4pack I ordered must have been badly damaged or it must have been really old. Despite its rough texture and after two days of use on my wheels, it started pilling off and cracking. From a local store, I have purchased three more of the same brand, and so far they are working out fine. The texture of this one is the same as always, smooth and fluid. I wouldn't recommend buying it from this buyer, as it is the same price at the local store. Save yourself time and money instead and buy it from a local store.

I like the product
5/5

It is very bright and the color is great. I love using it at higher temperatures and shaking When mounting it, spray it upside down until there is almost no spray out before putting it up, that way it will not clog up the nozzle. It does not work too well on cold surfaces.

I used Plasti Dip on the rims of my 17' Jeep Cherokee
5/5

Before you started working on this, I saw quite a few tutorials. My work for the evening is done. Spray on fan can that is very attractive, but you should also order the handle grip attachment along with it. At the end of 4 It was difficult keeping the finger on the tip of the rim after applying 5 coats of paint on each. I think it's going to look great when it's finished. Honestly, I don't understand how people use cans for rims. In spite of applying 4 heavy coats to each rim, there is still some paint left in two cans.

This product is great value for For painting cars and trucks, I came across this product advertised on Facebook
5/5

This was much cheaper here so I decided to paint my bike black, I was able to use one can of paint for the entire bike. Paint like this goes a long way, and it looks great too. can, it states it's good to use in rain, heat, and scuffs, so I'll see if it holds up over time. What's the big deal, I can just peel it off if I don't like it or get tired of the color.

It looks like my wheels are killers! On my factory wheels for the first time, I tried Plasti Dip! There is nothing like a black GMC Canyon to add visual appeal to a truck! I have a black GMC Canyon with chrome factory wheels and the wheels really make my truck pop
5/5

Moreover, it has a very nice black color. Because the product looks so good and has a metallic look, my friend thinks it may be an upgraded product because the matte black is not just basic boring flat matte black. When spraying it, I highly recommend using plenty of plastic to cover your breaks, etc, wearing a mask while spraying, and buying the pre-cut spray tubes Spraying solution for drip release and dip spraying. You can watch "Plasti Dip Your Wheels" online. You can learn more about the Complete Guide.
