A POR product that can't be beat- Rather than being surprised by 15, what makes me think this? Regardless of what POR-type it is In addition to my previous 15 products, this one excelled in every way
5/5

It came to me as a one-time deal To prevent further rust damage to a 30 year old Japanese mini truck I purchased, I coated the fuel tank with a two-step external coating. In order to remove loose paint and loose surface rust and scale, all I did was sand the tank down with 120 grit pads and a woodworking style plug-in orbital sander. My next step was to blow it off with compressed air before painting. It is easy to paint over with this paint because of its excellent coverage. Make POR work for you - means to cover it with a thick layer of lipstick. Do not worry, I laid this stuff up on a vertical surface in a virtual waterfall formation and I did not have any sagging problems. To seal any rusted out area, make sure to apply slightly more coating than the smooth areas, as this will allow for the heavier porosity of the rusted area to be In order for wet surfaces to be covered you are going to want to- It is important to fill in the entire area with high gloss paint so that the finish appears the same as when it is dried afterwards. If you do not saturate the entire surface evenly even if you are using a dry spray technique, the paint will look different when it is cured. The sagging is just a characteristic of paint and can easily be worked around because this paint never develops sags I also still have several ounces in the can after applying 3 heavy coats on a tank that I would guess has around 10 square feet of surface area. One can covered 3-coats on our tank, and I was able to finish with four coats on that tank. My tank has been remounted after it has been allowed to cure for one day. The tank was not properly secured in the undercarriage when I put it back. While lifting the tank back into the undercarriage, I scratched the new finish on several edges and protruding bolt ends. It surprised me that there was no indication that I had been careless. You will not get scratches or chips with this paint, it's a serious, hard, durable car paint similar to It costs about $15 in a brush-on can, however this chassis paint does not react with UV light the way brush-on type does. Please take note Unlike brush-on paint, this chassis paint does not fill pits or cover rough, rusty parts of a part like brush-on paint does. Both products should be used where a high-quality finish is desired. However, I didn't need to use them in my case. It would seem the negative reviews of this product may be a result of over preparation. From my experience, POR-ed products are generally not as effective as their POR-ed counterparts In our experience, 15 products perform better on parts that are rough, but free from loose paint and loose rust, dirt, and oil. POR products will suffer from decreased adhesion if prepped too much. POR-200 paint cannot be applied to 120 grit paper, because the surface is too rough for normal paints to adhere to, A 15-year-old eats up the treat. I love it when it sticks to parts sanded with very aggressive abrasives.

This is a great product! I wish you many happy returns of the day. Having been a customer for many years. It was good, and I'll definitely A brief update If gasoline is exposed to this paint, it will lift and peel immediately. Fuel spills or exposure is no match for this material. I still think it is a great paint for the purpose it was intended for.

of the paper is very good, however it is not solvent resistant
3/5

During the last few years, I have used a lot of aerosol top coat over POR undercoat on my chassis parts. of the paper is very good, however it is not solvent resistant. During the re-write, I discovered a mistake Replace the old fender supports with new steel tubes. As the paint finish was not great, I wet sanded the piece for a fresh look An outer layer. In the process of cleaning the surface with Prepsol's wax/grease remover, the Top Coat became soft and detached from A car should not be using this kind of fluid.

In a can, it is far inferior to the POR rust preventative
3/5

The quality of this paint is unlike that found in typical POR rust preventative paint cans. Por in a can is very cool, but it is not meant to withstand oil and gas exposure. It had been mentioned in a previous review that it was not suitable for areas that could splatter or leak oil or gas. It seemed to me at the time that the reviewer had either applied the paint incorrectly or was applying it as a sole coat without the POR rust preventative undercoat. This is incorrect. There's no charge for it because it falls apart even in benign areas where petroleum agents could be present (under an automobile). It is obvious that POR has squandered the opportunity to make a spectacular product with this product. POR rust preventative in a can is a stomping ground winner. That product is the winner, and this one detracts from it.

You guys are doing a great job
5/5

I prepared the surface as others told me to with a course scotch pad and 330 sandpaper. My initial impression is that it was easier to use the scotch pad, the photo shows only the first coat, I applied 3 good coats on a 54 inch deck with light sanding before the final I was very happy with how it turned out. My can is a really glossy black, so that might not be what others are getting. I will be able to use my mower deck for a longer time, and I am hopeful that cleaning will be easier since I have made this change. b) I don't intend to let that happen again since I just spent a lot of money on my new mower and saw what my old ZTR looked like after I traded it in.

It's one of the worst POR products available, rather than buying Rustomeum 2X for less than half the price. Flex Coat was the first POR disaster product released. In 4 months, I spent over $100 to paint an entire trailer, just for the finish to dull out and turn chalky. There was an error with the product, and it was removed silently Let's talk about this top coat. This is yet another failure of the POR. There is no way to get a gloss finish unless the part being painted is small enough to get it Top Coat painted the back of a small RV. The results were awful. On the front, we used Rustomeum 2X. It looks nice, it has a nice sheen and it has a We have bottles for just $7 a piece, not $26 a piece!.

The aerosol top coat is a great product, but based on reviews I was a little hesitant to use it
5/5

In view of the good reviews of the paint on stuff, I decided to test the aerosol (in safety RED) on a quad frame that I had stripped down to its A basic gray aerosol primer was used with 3 coats and a small amount of sanding in between. My next step was to apply four cans of aerosol top coat, allowing it to dry for about three days between each. In addition to that, I left the photo frame outside for some time. This is the day to bake the sun. In addition to the first coat, the frame required about a full can of paint per coat. It is amazing how well the results turned out. It has a nice even gloss and a nice As soon as the paint has cured fully, it becomes remarkably flexible. After all, it's just paint but I was really impressed by the design.

Honestly, I should have listened to the reviews, the negative aspects of this paint are all correct! I used two cans and it did not spray well, I had a mixture of fogging and a true spray, which made it very difficult to get a semi-professional finish
3/5

Due to this, the item has a glossy appearance. After applying two good coats and allowing them to cure for four days, I put the components together and noticed that some areas had gotten completely flat, while the rest were almost totally uneven It is glossy. The mission fails! Moreover, the second layer flakes off on an edge rounded off by In order to get a decent result, I spent too much time preparing and masking It is a poor paint job
If you value the object you are painting, it is not a good choice! A different source may be more reliable!.

The products in the POR product line have been fantastic for the few times I have used them
5/5

I decided to attempt to finish my old SnapOn tool box with this product line. Most of the blemishes were covered on the first pass with this product. The product is great for stripping rust back to bear metal if you're not going to fully remove the rust. It takes me just a few minutes to remove the large grains of rust with steel wool before wiping it clean to paint.
