Another person said no, and he didn't seem to understand what he was saying. My entire print collection is made from this. It should be noted that most stuff can be made completely smooth by two coats of this followed by some sanding between the two coats.
A spray can containing 10 sprays would be a good question. I would strongly encourage you to give it one coat of primer, especially if you are switching If you want it to stick, give it a good sanding before you apply it.
It is stated in Krylons item description. It was never used on stainless, so I don't know how it works.

I did not like this spray very much. I think this is fine for very minor touch ups. However, for automotive use, as it is intended to be, I would very small circular spray and does not produce a professional spray pattern, so it is not suitable for anything other than very small touch ups. It should contain a fan spray if it is to be used for automotive purposes. Compared to other automotive sprays I have used that give a really nice coat and pattern, this one was OK, but not impressive. The nozzle made a wet pattern in the center, as well as a fairly dry pattern along the sides, leading to poor results. Since I should have known better than to have expected much, I am forgiving my rating. Since it was much less than what I usually use, I could give it a higher rating. The automotive version of this product will not be bought again.
I have used primers from other brands and this is my favorite because it does not gum up my sandpaper like the other primer I used on my drill press restoration project. This is a great book!.
