This device is effective. With the adapter that you can buy, it was a simple installation. The instructions for putting it together were simple enough to follow. It's small enough that I was able to conceal it in an out-of-the-way location while keeping it visible in case it's needed. I hooked it up and set it up according to the instructions, and it worked flawlessly when I connected it to my trailed. If there was anything else I would add, it would be a good piece of double stick tape for those of us who don't want to drill holes in our walls to install it.

I put it on my Escalade EXT and drove it 4000 miles from Arizona to Alaska towing a heavily loaded cargo trailer. The controller performed as expected. I first tried a more expensive wireless controller that connected to my phone, but it disappointed me. I'm glad I bought it and would recommend it to others.

I've texted and called the manufacturer several times but have yet to receive accurate information. It's impossible for them to tell me where the red wire connects if your car isn't Plug and Play, like my 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood. I have six wires to choose from, and I'm not sure which is the coldest. I have purple, pink, dark green, light green, orange, and yellow wires. Clueless is the brand name of the manufacturer. My father had a 69 and 73 Cadillac with trailer brake control that he used to tow an Airstream. Because my 1996 Fleetwood was the last year to tow a trailer with a car, the manufacturer has forgotten how to wire it. I'm not sure if this is a good product because there is no support or help.

When it comes to brake controllers, I've always preferred the tekonsha brand. They appear to be the most popular brand. In a previous truck, I had one. With a vehicle-specific pig tail, installation took less than 15 minutes.
