Questions & Answers
It appears to be made up of four 2 foot long lengths of copper wire with colored vinyl insulation (4 colors: Red, White, Blue, and Black). Those four wires are protected by a secondary PVC sheath (Poly Vinyl Chloride, or "Vinyl" for short). The blade terminals appear to be tin-plated steel, but they could also be brass, which is difficult to determine. The plug bodies are made of a harder plastic, possibly Polystyrene Plastic, but it's difficult to tell. The truck end is brown, and the controller end is grey.
Yes, if the Yukon had the factory towing package.
This is unique to GMC and must be plugged into the fuse junction block. It depends on whether or not your Winne is based on a GMC, as well as the years mentioned.
No, I do not believe that is true. In 2008, General Motors made a design change to the truck.

I had to cut the end off and hardwire it, but I was aware of this when I purchased it.
My trailer's plug-and-play system works great and will save my truck's brakes.
Baby, just plug it in! br>br>It doesn't get any better than that.
My trailer brake unit on my 2002 Cadillac Escalade esv was plug and play.
Because the brake controller was originally installed in a 1995 pickup, the connector had been cut off by the dealer. I simply disconnected the controller's connector and soldered the controller's wires to the new cable ends. It was ready to go once I plugged it in under the dash.
I was trying to install it in a 2007 GMC Sierra, but the plug that was supposed to connect to the truck's wiring was not working. The wiring harness cannot be plugged into the truck's wires because there is no receiving jack. I ended up cutting the wiring harness wires and splicing them to the wiring in my truck in order to make it easier to disconnect the brake controller if/when I sell the truck.
br>There was a small extra that I tucked away, but it helped with the installation. br>It's a good thing I purchased it.
Fit right.
