Yes. It's perfect in my GMC Yukon from 2002.

I have a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado LT. Do I need a Tekonsha 3025 or a 3025 p brake controller to plug into the wiring harness?

This is the cable that connected my Tekonsha brake box to my truck panel. 3/4 ton Chevy 2500 from 2002. Because the body styles range from 99 1/2 to 02, it should be exactly what you need for your 01

This is an excellent match. The same as OEM. The harness is long enough to route it out of the way and out of sight, but not so long that it requires multiple tie-downs. It's preferable to having to connect on my own. This is extremely effective. My brake controller did not light up when I connected it at first, which worried me; however, the controller I have only lights up when a trailer is connected. This is a must-have for anyone with a trailer that weighs more than three thousand pounds. This is something I would strongly suggest. Making your own harness is not something I would recommend.
