If you want to make sure, I would go to a website like Tekonsha, or another trailer-related website, where they have a specific list of vehicles that this adapter fits. So long as your vehicle has the factory tow package with seven-pin wiring, I have no idea why it wouldn't work
If the wiring harness you're looking for fits your 2005 Ford Excursion, then please buy it.
However, I have used my harness in an F150 without a problem. Make sure you check with the user's guide. In addition, a Ford F53 chassis was also included. Towing is in fact supported by the same harness throughout Ford's entire line of products.

In no time at all, I was able to replace the wiring harness and Easy, quick, and convenient! The 2005 F150 is equipped with a When you hook it up and it doesn't seem to connect to your trailer brakes and lights, check the simplest things first. In my case, it was the connector that is on the backside of the truck. It was loose on the pin connector. The one with a plug was cheaper than the one without.
My computer was already set up with this. Taking a minute or two to connect it to the factory installed device was no problem. This is a great deal.

The twenty bucks I spent were well spent. This saved me from having to splice a new harness into the factory. In less than 5 minutes, I hooked up the cable to a port directly underneath the dash lip, directly in line with the gas pedal. A hook and loop strip was used to secure my controller to the extra dash pocket beneath the cup holder. Moreover, I was able to run the cable to the controller with relative ease by cutting a hole in the top of the pocket.
