connected the red brake light wire to the side of the brake light switch below my dash above the brake pedal on the passenger side. Using a meter can be the easiest way to figure out which wire to bind your lead to. Use one meter lead on one of your brake light switch wires and the other lead on a metal bolt or screw on your vehicle when you have the brake off to measure the voltage. Your meter will read 12 volts if it indicates that the switch is on the primary power side. The other switch wire is the one that you will need to connect your red wire to. The next step is to connect the white wire from the brake controller harness to the ground wire. Bolts and screws securing the body of the car to the ground are considered grounds. You can also run the wire back to the negative post of the battery if you have a long enough wire. To run the black wire from the harness to the positive terminal of the battery, you need to attach it to a circuit breaker. Almost any auto parts store will have the breaker. Make sure the circuit breaker is 20 amps. In your case, the blue wire is the trailer brake wire. If things aren't working, perhaps there is a problem with your You must make sure that none of your wires are shorted to the frame or to Here is what I hope will help.
Unlike the controller I bought for my Toyota, it does not come with a harness that fits perfectly. Under the dash, I found that my truck came with a tow package and a Toyota harness. For my truck to run on the factory harness, I had to order an adapter plug. It was then necessary to create a bracket to mount under the Despite the delay, it works really well, although I had to do a lot of research to locate the harness for it. An adapter was shipped to me via e-mail
A plug-in plug-in comes with everything a person needs to do the job The system can be installed and used immediately.

This trailer brake controller was bought while I was on vacation and delivered to a campsite I was staying at! This is the same model as the one I had for 17 years, but I chose this one since they didn't have the model I had anymore (go figure), so maybe I'll take a chance. 5 months did not last!.
I'm able to tow my Airstream with my 2013 Durango like a champ. am in love with I set it in mid range and it worked like a champ. He is Henry, the weedeaterman.
The product does what it is supposed to do. It is a simple, no frills solution that doesn't have any issues.
This seems to be a good product. A pretty basic description.
A 16-year-old me used to have one. I purchased a new one just a few days ago which is identical to the one I just got before. You can easily install your wiring harness by using the plug and play wiring for your specific vehicle! You did a great job drawing - Keep it together!.
Two months wasn't enough time for this one to last. Working for one tow, but hadn't worked since then. I had the trailer and truck wiring done and this is what came down to it. I guess you get what you pay for at $40 bucks.
A new defective unit was installed to replace the old one.
