I bought this and had it installed, but it stopped working after a month. I had the installer recheck it, and after testing it, they said the speaker was out.
Extremely loud and effective at attracting attention. I connected mine to a switch so that I could turn it on and off whenever I wanted. This alarm has two wires, one for power and the other for grounding. You can power your reverse from your trailer plug or reverse light, then ground the other side to metal. Because I work third shift and don't want to bother my neighbors late at night, I decided to make a switch.
It lasted approximately one month.
Of course, the return period has ended, so I won't be able to get a replacement or a refund. Save your money, as a precaution. This piece of garbage isn't going to stand the test of time.
I bought it a second time, and it stopped working after about 40 days. These weren't even exposed to water or dust; they just stopped working after a few hours of highway driving. Spend a little more money and avoid buying this piece of junk. This design appears to be sold under various brands, but it is most likely from the same manufacturer; in other words, avoid this design regardless of brand.
