This part was a perfect fit for my 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid and solved my problem quickly. I was getting two warning lights at the same time. My backup beeper had stopped working and I was getting messages like "check rear parking aid" and "cross traffic system fault. " So, just like that, this speaker was replaced and the problem was solved! On YouTube, I was able to find a video that demonstrated how to do it in detail. I'm not allowed to post the link here, but if you need assistance installing this part, look up a video on YouTube. This purchase has made me extremely happy. The part was inexpensive and functions flawlessly.
system that is in operation The four sensors in the bumper were tested and found to be functional prior to ordering the speaker, i. e. When the ignition was "on" and in reverse, you could hear a distinct rapid clicking sound. The back-up sensing system is now operational after the speaker was replaced. Easy fix. On a 2005 Ford Excursion Limited 6, this part will fit. 0 PSD.
- I fixed my Lincoln's malfunctioning Rear Parking Aid. In the info console, look for "Check Rear Parking Aid" - no beep. I couldn't tell if the problem was with the rear sensors or with the speaker, which had died and was making some squeaky sad noises before finally shutting down. When I was diagnosing the sensors, I noticed that none of them had the audible clicks that a working system would have - I decided to start with the speaker, which is located in the rear 1st row passenger's aft door piller (Lincoln MKT/Ford Flex) - There are no screws; instead, double-sided tape (included) is used to secure it. The system works perfectly now that the buzzer has been replaced.
My "rear park assist" error light on a 2011 Ford Fusion was turned off after replacing this speaker. The system stopped working one day, which meant that when I reversed, no beeps would go off. I could see that there was an error light on, and I couldn't turn the system on or off. After listening to all three bumper sensors and hearing nothing, I knew they couldn't have all gone out at the same time, so I assumed this was the part that blew, breaking the circuit. br>br>Quality product that is easy to replace.
This sensor is located on the passenger side, behind the plastic panel in the footwell near the door, if you have a 2004 body style F250. Remove the cover and reach between the airbag cartridge and the body panel, which is located above the glove box. If your backup sensor is stuck on "off," replacing this speaker will almost certainly solve the problem.
I should've known it would be simple to replace, because it was. I had no idea how much I would miss that obnoxious buzzer/beeper/whatever you want to call it.
This section helped me avoid having to sell the car. The backup alert was not working, and I assumed it was due to a wiring issue or that new sensors would cost hundreds of dollars. It cost less than $20 to replace the part, and it took less than 15 minutes to do so. Youtube was able to pinpoint the issue and save my life once more.
I bought it for my 2012 MKZ. I put it together, but I misplaced the screws that held the speaker in place. For that reason, the back of this item has an adhesive sticky pad. I took out the old speaker, plugged in the new one, and placed it next to the rear-seat stereo speaker. It's a cinch to use. "Check rear park aid" and "cross traffic system fault" warning lights were removed from the dashboard.
