It's effective and loud enough, but it's not a "beep

" This speaker produces a loud, intermittent sound that attracts attention when it is turned on. It is not, however, the traditional "back up beep" that we are used to hearing. It's probably best to use something else if you want to warn people about a moving vehicle. This might be a good option if you're getting attention for something else - People will not be on the lookout for a moving truck.
