On a Cat 908 loader, I used this backup alarm. The factory mounting is under the hood of the car, where all the hot air escapes. I bought less expensive alarm clocks that couldn't stand up to the heat after just one day. This alarm hasn't yet burned out after two days of use. It's both nice and loud. When you need people to move out of your way on a crowded construction site, this is the tool to use.
The setup was simple and straightforward. Bolt holes lined up perfectly with the old backup alarm, so moving forward was a no-brainer. a couple of quick-fire questions I was almost done when I connected the dots. This alarm is LOUD, so get it if you want to stand out while backing up a larger rig. If you're worried about disturbing your neighbors, choose a model that is a little quieter.
When my grandpa woke up in the morning and slapped his electric wheelchair in reverse to back down the hall to the bathroom and the beeper went off, it was the first thing he had heard without his hearing aid in since the LA riots.
Sound that is extremely loud.
Just put it on my dump truck, and it's so loud that anyone within a mile can hear it.
Please, people, move out of the way! Love it! When my large cargo van reverses, I feel like I'm driving a dump truck! It's well-made and loud.
Backup noise is extremely loud and pitched at a medium-high level. It is simple to put together. Made from high-quality materials that are both durable and long-lasting.
I bought it specifically for safety and OSHA reasons on all of our landscape company trucks; it's very loud and annoys my neighbors when we're getting the trucks out to their routes in the morning, but I don't mind; overall, it's fantastic.
