3/4" Studio Depth Panels: 5 premium artist quality cradled birch wood paint pouring panel boards, each measuring 4" x 4" x 3/4" deep studio depth. Smooth birch surface panels with a premium unprimed finish that are ready to be primed or gessoed.

Alternative to Canvas: Provides a smooth, firm painting surface that won't stretch, flex, or bend like traditional canvases. There will be no warping because the panels have smooth sanded birch faces and solid wood cradles. Because no frames are required, it is simple to hang.

Panels are ideal for paint pouring and most art and craft projects because they can be used with a variety of mixed media, such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, tempera, encaustic, collage, decoupage, impasto, photos, and drawings.

The open square on the backside measures 3,4mm x 3,4mm (sorry, I'm from Spain, so my measurements are in centimeters, not inches).

Is it possible that they'll burn in the wood?

From the front, what is the thickness of the wood?

A quarter-inch thick front panel is used.

Which size of nail do you suggest for sor string art?

There is some thickness variation and the surface isn't perfectly flat

I thought I was saving money, but I would have preferred to spend a little more for a better product, as all but one of the boards are crooked and don't lay flat. In terms of thickness, they aren't all the same. I had intended to use them all in the same project, but they're a little too crooked for that. They're not bad, but they're not what I was looking for.

I messed up and cut the wrong way

I enjoy painting on this product, but I'm disappointed to see that the wood has been cut incorrectly and is dented in several corners. I am unable to return this item because it has been painted. For the price, I gave it three stars. This was my third purchase, and I'm beginning to realize that a good product isn't always guaranteed.

I only have four panels to work with. I'd return it, but I need them for an upcoming art show and don't have the time; it's frustrating to be without a panel that I paid for. Very let down.

I still think these are a good deal, but they aren't always exactly 4" on each side, maybe a millimeter off, and one of the five had a dented edge on one corner, which didn't look great but wasn't a deal breaker

The size and thickness of the panels appeal to me. It's also worth noting that they contain sawdust, which must be brushed off before use. Nonetheless, they're ideal for the small mandalas I create with acrylic paint.
