The excellent quality of these panels pleasantly surprised me. br>br>I live in a rural area and ordered them because of the low cost and short delivery time, as I have a deadline to meet and don't have time to travel to a physical store. I expected them to complete the task, but I wasn't sure if I could trust the outcome. br>br>I placed an order for two two-packs of two-packs of two-packs of two-packs of two- packs (for a total of four panels) that were all very smooth - Not only on the front panel surface, but on all sides as well. There were no splinters, rough spots, or glue residue on the back cradling. I was expecting to have to sand them, but I don't think I'll have to. Four is a small sample size, but I like that they're all uniform and won't require any effort on my part to finish before use (aside from priming, of course). br>br>They also feel sturdy enough to hang in the future without worry, not at all flimsy.

These are 8x8x1, according to them. 5" is closer to 8x8x than 5". The nails on the frame are sticking out.

While these pieces are durable, I was disappointed by other quality issues, such as two of the four boards having glue sloppily overflowing on the sides. I had intended to stain the boards, but instead chose to sand them down and paint them, which did cover up the glue globs. One of the boards that didn't have the glue problem had a large gash on one side that faded and reappeared on the other. This board was hidden in the middle of the package, almost as if it had been wrapped too tightly with a strong wire. I wasn't expecting anything like this.

NOT IN THE SQUARE! These square blocks are supposed to be 6 inches in diameter. A few of the four packs are within a quarter-inch of each other, while others are off by a quarter-inch. Not good! I wish I had realized the sizes were inconsistent before I got so far into my project; they 'look' nice and the edges are clean, but if you require squareness, run away and spend more money.

When I first saw these boards, I was so disappointed. I've used them before, but three of the four boards I ordered were damaged. I was able to use wood putty to repair two of the boards, but the veneer on the third board was coming loose. I attempted to repair it, but failed miserably. br>They are made in China, despite the fact that it says "US Art Supply. ".

It turned out beautifully, and they're extremely durable. I like how thick it is and how it can stand on its own if you don't want to hang it. Even with a 20 40% off coupon, the price per board was way cheaper than Michaels was but you have to get 4 boards.
