Questions & Answers
If you're wondering whether they should be sanded, I can tell you that they don't need to be for my purposes. I woodburn the subjects of my choice and then stain them in a variety of colors. I like the way it turned out. Perhaps someone else has a different vision for the final product (acrylic or water color, for example). Mine is one of my favorites, and I plan to use it again. When my current supply runs out, I'll place an order.
My painting went off without a hitch. Without the use of varnish, I believe they would hold permanent vinyl or even HTV well.
Yes ! I purchased a primer, which I applied first to ensure that the paint dries quickly and does not soak into the wood.
You could try out a piece of wood before ordering because it's just plain wood.

Size is enormous.
Unlike some of the other reviewers, I did not have any issues with damaged boards. I will definitely place another order.
Painting with collage (and other media) on wood is one of my favorite things to do. After gessoing both sides to prevent warping, I am confident that these paintings will outlast anyone who gives a damn. I ordered more and was fortunate enough to receive newer ones that are 1 3/4" deep, which I much prefer. When I first ordered these, they were unavailable. In the future, I will definitely order more of these. They're great, even if they're not as deep.
I bought five (20) of these in a pack. And they were all in excellent condition. squared to perfection Only one of the twenty could have used a little more sanding. However, everything else was fantastic!.
The quality is poor. One of the boards had a deep scratch that couldn't be sanded out, and the other two had a small raised area that looked like a nail head. That, too, I was unable to sand out. As a result, three of the boards were unavailable to me.
It is well-made and a wise investment. It gives my work a more finished appearance. This book comes highly recommended.
It's nice and smooth, and it goes well with my resin and acrylic paintings.
I had never painted on real wood panels before. They're appealing. (They'd probably be appealing even if I hadn't put MY artwork on them, LOL. ).
