Questions & Answers

Would this one work with the Xbox 360 4GB Kinect bundle from a few years ago?

If your Xbox 360 came with Kinect preinstalled, it will not be able to support this memory unit.

My Xbox 360 is a black slim model. This memory unit was just delivered to me. This memory unit does not appear to have a slot. Do you have any idea if this will work?

No, it's not for a slim person. The slim takes the memory unit from the side of your Xbox, which I had to return. Simply remove the side and you'll see it.

My kids have a Xbox 360 with only 4GB of storage. Can they install/play GTA5 if this is purchased? I understand it's a big game. ?

Hello Catrena,br>They will not be able to play GTA 5 on their 4GB unit with this memory card. You can, however, buy a flashdrive and plug it into the front of the Xbox 360 (where the controllers usually go) to get the job done. I recommend getting a 16GB or larger flashdrive, which appear to start at around $5-$10 on Amazon. Amazon and Ebay have them for $10. I hope this information is useful.

Is this a memory card, or something else entirely?

Yes, it's the original Xbox 360 memory card from Microsoft.

This item is no longer required
5/5

I'm surprised that this hasn't been taken down yet. It appears that people are still purchasing it. So, I'm here to inform you that you no longer require this item. Ordinary USB storage devices were not compatible with the XBOX360 when it was first released. If you ran out of hard drive space and needed somewhere to store your stuff (gamer profile information, save files, videos, game demos, installed games, etc. ), you had no choice but to buy Microsoft's overpriced XBOX-360 system. particular memory units (like this one! br>br>However, in 2010, Microsoft gave in and released a system update that allows you to save files from your Xbox 360 to any USB memory device, effectively making the old XBOX360 memory units obsolete. You don't need this memory unit because there are so many inexpensive USB flash drives available. Having said that, I purchased this item in 2009 and continue to use it. It doesn't have much storage space other than my gamer profile and a few save files, but I still use it to transfer my gamer profile between my XBOX360 and my friend's system. I could do the same thing with a simple USB flash drive, but my friend usually has things plugged into his system's USB ports (usually controllers being charged), so being able to plug this thing into its own memory port without having to deal with the USB ports is nice and convenient. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's the only reason I can think of why you'd want to use this: If you're too lazy to unplug other things from your USB ports. br>br>In addition, it appears that the newer "slim" (black, smaller) XBOX360 models are incompatible with these older memory units, so keep that in mind.

Simple to use, assists in the transfer of profiles, and so on
4/5

Despite the fact that this Xbox 360 memory card is smaller, it works perfectly for transferring profiles from one 360 to another. You can also copy photos from a hard drive to the card and then onto another system. If you want to transfer a profile to a second console, this card is worth picking up. As a result, you'll be able to play games like Gears of War 3 and others. Instead of split screen, use system link. My eldest child Instead, I've been playing split-screen games (despite the fact that we have two Xbox 360s and two sets of Gears 1-1). So I finally bought this card so I could transfer my SN's profile and Gears saves to his system. Then, in horde mode, play system link with each player getting a full screen. campaign. A profile, on the other hand, cannot be copied and used on both systems. It will detach you from the original profile. You can, however, restore it to the original system at any time. Also, I'm not sure if these will work with the newer ("slim") 360s. My younger brother's system is more modern. I needed to move music from my computer to his. It was impossible for us to accomplish. I still think you should get this memory card, especially at Amazon's prices! You might be able to save a profile to your card if you plug it into a desktop or laptop computer. Copy the profile to your computer's hard drive. Then, if the profile is still on the card, copy it to your hard drive as a backup. My previous profile was corrupted in some way, and I lost all of my saves, achievements, and so on. It would have been great if I could have used the card as a backup for my CPU!.

This is an excellent temporary and portable option
4/5

I recently bought an Xbox 360 Core system and needed a memory unit to save my games because the Core system does not include any memory saving hardware. I chose this memory unit over a hard drive because of the lower price and the fact that it claims to hold 64MB of storage (in reality, the card offers a little less than 64MB, but that's fine because that's normal). br>br>The Xbox 360 64MB Memory Unit includes a plastic keychain snap case, a folded instructions/warning sheet, and about a dozen glossy-finish stickers. stickers with a white label Because the color and texture quality of the unit matches that of the Xbox 360 systems (especially the original faceplates), it works well with any Xbox 360 system. br>br>The unit has the ability to save a large number of games. The save file size for a large game like Oblivion could be up to 1MB. There will be plenty of storage space for other games if you use the 64MB memory unit. br>br>Any user with an Xbox 360 who wants to connect to Xbox Live or the Xbox Live Marketplace will need a memory unit or a detachable hard drive to create a gamer profile, after which they can connect to the Xbox Live Marketplace for downloadable content. Any available updates for the Xbox 360 system can be downloaded and applied immediately when the Xbox 360 system is connected to Xbox Live. The system updates, as far as I recall, didn't take up much space (I believe they were under 1MB). Users can download a variety of content from movie trailers to game demos once they are connected to Xbox Live Marketplace. Unfortunately, users are limited to downloads based on file size due to the small amount of storage space available on the memory unit; Xbox 360 game demos average around 700MB, and HD content is frequently more than 100MB, making it impossible to download and view/run any type of demo or HD content with a 64MB memory unit. Any of the non-essential items, on the other hand, may be used. Because they take up less storage space, HD, 480p content and short clips can be downloaded. br>br>This memory unit is ideal for those who require only the most basic support when playing Xbox 360 games. In the long run, I strongly advise users to avoid purchasing this product and instead purchase a detachable hard drive. The hard drive, which has received a lot of praise in reviews, will give any Xbox 360 Core owner a lot more functionality and flexibility. Users with a hard drive, for example, can play original Xbox games, download larger file content such as game demos, HD movies and trailers, and customize content, among other things. So it's up to you to decide which product is best for you.

The memory module itself performs admirably, and I was able to save my Diablo 3 game
5/5

Since my Xbox has been having some issues recently, I purchased one to save my Diablo 3 saves. The memory module itself is excellent, and I was able to save my Diablo 3 files with it. Fortunately, if my Xbox breaks down right now, I won't lose any important data because I can back it up to the memory unit.

Not all Xbox 360s are backwards compatible
3/5

This product is simply described as an Xbox 360 memory unit. A word of warning: There are no fittable ports on the Xbox 360 4GB version, so it isn't compatible. My copy will be returned. I wish I had read the reviews first, because I see that the problem has been addressed there, but the product ad makes no mention of it, which I believe they should.
