Questions & Answers
The answer is no, it can't. As for mine, I've been able to modify it so that it works. The process of making a Xbox 360 backwards compatible is explained in a number of YouTube videos. It isn't difficult if you are good with computers. *br>You need a SATA-equipped computer in order to do that. To hook it up to your computer, you'll need to use a USB cable (such as the Xbox transfer cable, but make sure it's a slim cable since the other one won't fit). In Order to play original Xbox games, you must install the "Xplorer 360" program that can read and write to the HDD, as well as the partition that allows original Xbox games to be played. The restore command for partition 2 is contained in a binary file. As soon as I did that, Halo 2 played after I placed the HDD back in. I had not received an error message before.
Not sure, I bought it for XBOX slim, so I'm not sure if it would work with the Xbox
There is no need to create a new hard drive unless you are transferring between hard drives. If all you'll be doing is plugging it into an Xbox with a 4 GB hard drive, then you don't need the cable.
The answer is yes. The model works with this one.

I was a little wary of purchasing this after reading some of the reviews, but for the price, I decided that the risk was worth it. There is no reason for me to be disappointed. Hard drives have been recognized by the Xbox without any trouble. There was no need to format the drive at all upon It is an excellent option if you need a replacement HD for your Xbox at a reasonable price. The following update has been made We have now had the HD for 4 months and it is still performing as it should with absolutely no issues!
UPDATE It is still working almost exactly as it did from day one on 04/08/21. I still recommend it!.
I recommend this hard drive highly. In the end, I found that a USB thumbdrive would also be insufficient, so I was relieved to discover that a hard drive could be purchased from Amazon and installed into the system on the side. I found the installation to be very quick and easy, and I was able to start downloading the game data as soon as I finished. It is so nice to be able to buy this hard drive at this affordable price.
Titanfall was purchased for my son's 4GB xBox only to discover after he had already purchased the game that he required a hard drive to play. I found this on sale for half the price of the branded version and decided to try it out. Thank you for making such a great Installation takes about 30 seconds without any tools, and it is immediately recognized. It's been installed for about a month, and I've had no problems with it. For those who don't know, this one installs in the side of the XBox, and The drive slides into a small cover that can be removed.
The request was not successful. It is not protected, so you will need to follow the instructions provided by Google (there are no instructions on The installation was very easy, but caused a "red dot of death" in the Xbox 360 power light and an error E68 in system hardware. I spent much time online searching for a solution to the error, but none If this hard drive is removed, the console works fine, but when it is reinserted, the error occurs. There must be a way to make it incompatible. The purchase was a waste of time and money, but I resolved the issue with a refund and returned the item.
I was able to install it in the Xbox 360E with ease. I have been using this for a month with no issues. This is a must have if you have a 4 GB Xbox because you will not be able to play most games without expanding.
A few reviews I found mentioned people having trouble with this hard drive. My stepson had problems with the flash drives he was using to plug into his Xbox 360. So, I was a little skeptical. On top of that, he kept running out of space on his This was a reward I gave him to get him to help me with some extra projects or chores This was a wise investment. assisted him in installing it (it was surprisingly easy, since he had the 4Gb model with an open hard drive slot), and he hasn't had a problem since then. The extra storage space is much appreciated by him, and since he takes the 360 from house to house, he does not have to worry about lugging around flash drives.
Because this hard drive is much cheaper than the official XBOX hard drives, I bought it. Despite this, I am disappointed that you cannot play backwards compatible games using this drive, but it is not a deal breaker for me. One of my biggest complaints with this hard drive is that it consistently freezes my Xbox, something that has never happened before. It was more expensive to buy the brand name hard drive and I should have spent the extra cash but if you don't want to play regular xbox games and you don't mind it freezing, then this is still a better deal than the one I would have offered.
It arrived on time, undamaged and in good condition. However, as soon as I installed the physical hard drive into the Xbox, I got In spite of several attempts to restart the Xbox and convince it to format the hard drive like it should automatically, it refused to do so. When I plugged the hard drive into my PC, I tried to format it using Windows without success. Other reviews have indicated the same issue, especially in recent months. Earlier reviews indicate the product would work for a couple of weeks and then would stop working The most recent tended to indicate issues shortly before death, but most recent tended to indicate problems immediately. If you are looking to purchase an Xbox 360 Hard Drive, I recommend buying it direct from Microsoft even if the prices are a bit steep.
