Is it possible for this hard drive to recognize original Xbox games, as most aftermarket HDDs fail to do so?

Due to the seller's failure to mention that partition 2 is Backwards Compatible, this HDD will not allow you to play original Xbox games. To get Partition 2, look up the YouTube video How to make any XBOX 360 Hard Drive backwards compatible (Run XBOX originals) and follow the instructions there.

Is this hard drive compatible with my "Xbox 360 E" (not slim, but "E")? Is it just the drive that I require, or do I also require anything else?

I'm not sure, I bought it for an XBOX slim, so I'm not sure if it'll work on a 360 E.

Is the hard drive's transfer cable required?

Only if you're transferring data from one hard drive to another. If you're only going to plug it into a 4 GB Xbox, you won't need the cable.

Is it compatible with model 1439 of the Xbox 360?

I am not dissatisfied in the least. We had no problems getting the Xbox to recognize the hard drive, and it didn't need to be formatted or anything when we first installed it. If you need a replacement HD for your Xbox at a reasonable price, I highly recommend this product. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> It's been 4 months and the HD is still working perfectly with no issues!br>br>UPDATE: 04/08/21: It's still working like it did the first day. Still a strong recommendation!.

Thank you for allowing me to have more room! We were given an Xbox 360 and found some inexpensive games for it, such as Destiny, but were disappointed when we discovered that the Xbox 360's internal storage was insufficient

A 32GB USB thumbdrive would also not work, so I was relieved to learn that we could purchase a hard drive from Amazon and install it on the side of the system. br>br>The installation was quick and painless, and we were able to begin downloading the required game data right away. The hardware error E68 was created

It didn't work out. I followed the directions from a Google search (the drive didn't come with any instructions). Although it was simple to install, it resulted in system hardware error E68 and the "red dot of death" in the Xbox 360 power light. Nothing worked after a lot of online searching to fix the error. When this hard drive is removed from the console, it works fine, but when it is reinserted, it causes an error. It can't be in any way compatible. It was a complete waste of time and money, but I did receive a refund and returned it.

A Budget-Friendly Alternative I bought Titanfall for my son's 4GB xBox, only to discover later that he requires a hard drive to play the game

I found this for half the price of the branded version and decided to give it a shot. The purchase was a great success. It takes about 30 seconds to install without using any tools, and it is instantly recognized. It's been about a month since I installed it and I've had no issues. br>In case you didn't notice, this goes on the side of the xBox, not the back. There's a small cover that can be removed, and the drive slides right in.

It works fine and is simple to set up on the Xbox 360E. br>I've been using it for a month and have had no problems with it; you'll need it if you bought a 4 GB Xbox because you won't be able to play most games without it.

Because of some negative reviews from people who had issues with this hard drive, and because my stepson was having issues with the flash drives he was using for his Xbox 360, I was a little skeptical. He was also running out of storage space on his flash drives. I used this as a bribe to get him to help me with some extra projects and chores around the house. This was money well spent. I assisted him in installing it (which was relatively simple because he had the 4GB model, which already had an open slot for the hard drive), and he hasn't had any issues since. He appreciates the extra storage space, and since he travels by 360 between houses and friends' houses, he doesn't have to worry about lugging flash drives around with him.

The product arrived on time, undamaged, and in good condition, but when I tried to install the physical hard drive into the Xbox, I received Error 68

I tried several times to restart the Xbox and persuade it to format the hard drive, which it should have done automatically. I then connected the hard drive to my PC and tried to format it using Windows without success; other reviews, especially more recently, have indicated the same issue. Older versions state that the product will only work for a few weeks. months before passing away, but the most recent ones have already shown signs of illness. I recommend going straight to Microsoft if you want to buy an Xbox 360 hard drive, even if the prices are a little high.

Playing original XBox games isn't going to help

I had an old Xbox 360 Slim lying around and wanted to see if my kids could play some old Xbox games on it. I purchased this after Console informed me that I needed a hard drive. Unfortunately, the official Microsoft HDDs have an emulator or partition that this one lacks, but I'm sure it'll suffice for storage purposes.
