Questions & Answers

Is there a plexiglass cover on it? Is it possible for it to be removed?

Yes, I agree. If the plexi is separated from the faceplate, the plexi will be useless. With a small fee, Focusattack makes custom faceplates, which are printed with any design you supply.

As a newbie to fight sticks, I would like some help. Could the box include parts that I can modify, like an octogonal gate so I can make a joystick that has 8 axes? Instead of four, use two What is the way square?

Gates are made from 8 way squares, and yes, you can modify them. As a result, a 4 way square can go in only 4 directions, making it ideal for games like Pac Man rather than fighting games.

Would it be possible to use an image of your own in the artwork?

Yes, I agree. As a matter of fact, the stock artwork does not have to be removed. There is a professionaly cut piece of plexi that can be made to your specifications and then you may hang artwork of the desired thickness underneath it This is what I discovered after a good deal of research. Noir stock art is beautiful, and I did not want to get rid of it! As you can see in my review of this fightstick, I included a photo. My custom artwork is right under the stock art, and there is no way to tell unless you take the print apart. I included in my review two individuals (and their respective organization) who 1) made the plexi for me and 2) collaborated with all stages of the creation of my design.

Selected User Reviews For HORI Real Arcade Pro N Hayabusa Arcade Fight Stick for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC Officially Licensed by Sony - PlayStation 4

a lot of reviews on which brands are best and I listened to many opinions as well
5/5

The first time I have used a Several reviews of which brands were the best before I bought it gave me an idea as to what I should buy. Even though everything was pointing to the mad catz TE2+, I liked the spacious noir layout of this stick, so I went with my instincts and picked it up. That was a good choice for me. A very high level of construction quality appears to have been used. Hori's buttons and stick feel great (they're not too sensitive like some users have accused it of being). It makes me nervous to pass through the square gate, but I feel absolutely comfortable to do so even when I'm going round and round. In my opinion, the curvature of the button layout and the relatively long distance between the stick and the buttons make the stick quite comfortable to hold. The case is rigid and does not flex at all. I found the stick to be extremely stable on the table or my lap because of the stick's size and weight. Purchased this product and was very pleased with it. I have edited It works well on Linux. I just tested it.

It is poorly constructed and QC is lacking
4/5

As a result, I was given a useless Located at the bottom of the Hayabusa lever is a small PCB which is connected to the switches and had been damaged. The tracers have been damaged and the bottom of it has a nasty crack. My problem finally came to light when I used another lever to test and found the culprit since I initially thought there was a problem with the main board. It appeared to be an assembly problem because wires were not seated in the right order and lots of parts had problems getting in place. What's also ironic about it is that they don't want you to open the stick or chassis, but they will do a rush job of assembly and even give you broken hardware. You won't be able to keep your warranty if you open it. Anyway, I'm in the process of contacting Hori directly and am hoping they will respond to me and send me a replacement part. I can't justify the trouble of returning a large box when only one part was carelessly passed I don't want to go through it. The stick design is great which makes it my favorite. I will always purchase Hori. Overall, as this is my review, I would say that the stick is fantastic. There is an Astro City layout of this very model that I already own. I would like to try out the noir layout as well. The hayabusa buttons were also a priority for me, and I am very pleased with them. It was difficult for me to find buttons that had a short actuation, and these worked perfectly. As far as the silencer pads are concerned, they fit and work well with them, only requiring some trimming etc. But the bottom padding is not good, as it covers an area that is not so well placed. In my opinion, it is preferable to cover the whole bottom plate in felt. I would like them to cover a larger portion of the plate in their next update as not covering it would be uncomfortable. Here's the update My initial contact with Hori was the day of purchase. They didn't get back to me until two days after my purchase I received a replacement lever 3 months after the complaint and they honored the issue. This is awesome, and I greatly appreciate it. The list of stars is a bit long, but I'm afraid I can't rate it high because of.

This method did not work (was used)
5/5

I was not able to use the product on my computer. There was no read or write capability on my computer and the fight stick did not appear to be on. Since I bought it used, I suppose that's why it didn't work. I was also not provided with a "PC switch" in the version I received. PS4 was the only thing that was used The PlayStation 3. Other than that, I will say that I was pleased with the feel and quality of the product itself obviously, I didn't get to try it out, but it seemed I am thinking of purchasing another one and seeing what it does. Here's the update After finally getting a new stick and trying it out on PC for Tekken, I'm pretty sure I've found a great controller. It's good looking, well balanced, it's a good stick, and it feels good to move. The buttons have a nice texture to them as well. I like the fact that there is plenty of space on the box for my fingers. If you're going to get into fighting games and you're looking for a quality product, you're better off in the end spending a little more money than you would on a cheaper option.

A real arcade game with HORI Real Arcade Pro N
5/5

A. It is a great arcade stick and it has hori Tournament ready construction due to the fact that it is designed differently from the Taito Vewlix standerd arcade stick design. Getting this rather rare stick if you like the Noire layout is your best bet if you like the layout of the Scorpion City. I have no idea for how long Hori will keep making this style of arcade stick so take advantage Other than that, this arcade stick is pretty standard Hori. It works with PS4, PS3, and PC. The rubber padding on the metal base is more slip resistant. Standard with the Hiro arcade tournament parts, but if you don't like them, you can change them out with another option such as a Sumitsu arcade stick or a Sanwa denshi arcade stick that will work with all modern fighting games.

I tested the unit with its stock configuration, and I found it to be quite nice
5/5

While I almost kept the low-profile, matte black Hayabusa buttons as they are quite nice, I did end up changing them out for the Samyo KLF and push buttons. This wasn't difficult to do, although opening the case will void It's my opinion that Samyo buttons and sticks are the best around Because I was able to replace the Hayabusa parts, I did so because The stick's ability to hold a picture is one of the things that attracted me to it. Compared to the RAP4 or RAP5 Kai, I prefer the rectangular design of this fight stick, and the version from which it originated improves on the original new Hori Tekken 7 edition. It includes both a comfort knob and a non-slip knob. The metal base of the unit has been fitted with anti-slip pads. I love this sleek, well-built (with metal and heavy duty plastic components) unit. It also feels durable, looks great, and is easy to use. In terms of fight sticks, this one is great (and compares very well) in this price range. A price range of $200 is available.

I think this is the best button layout
5/5

I find that Noir's button layout is most aesthetically pleasing and ergonomic. It bears striking similarities to the Astro City cabinet layout. I especially like the matte, short-throw buttons, and this controller's Hayabusa lever makes me feel zen. A big case, giving plenty of space for fingers and wrists, as well as a couple of pockets inside for adding modifications, makes for a very spacious case. A second RAP•N has just been issued to me, and I absolutely love it.
