I am the first person to modify a controller and it went With the trim shell, you can modify your PS5 controller in no time at all. My fingernail worked better for prying up the ends of the original black shell than the tool that came with it, however, but the tool in fact worked much better for lifting the rest I love the new one, the color is exactly as described and the finish is also smooth and shiny. The fact that I can identify different controllers is a plus. I have never had two controllers of the same color on the same console generation in the past four decades. So, I had no choice but to purchase a second white controller, as Sony isn't yet releasing any other controllers. As I was searching for controller skins, I came across these. There's quite a bit of wood grain to lend some class to the controller, and the material seems to be of higher quality than the original. It will be interesting to see how this goes. I definitely plan to purchase more if I ever need a third controller, and I may even end up buying new ones for all of my games. I hate the way the wood grain contrasts with the OG trim piece. I hope they will introduce more wood colors in the future. Would be lovely to have a piece of wood grain trim in a deep cherry red or weathered gray.
