Questions & Answers

Is the manual shifter designed to function in the same way that a real car or truck manual shifter does? In the midst of a whirlwind of activity. ?

No, it's not the same as a manual transmission in a car. Only forward and backward movement is possible with the shift on the wheel, which functions as two buttons. It has various functions in different games, such as converting perspective if you put forward.

Is the PS4 version compatible?

No, it's not the case. It works on PS3, PS2, and PC.

Is it limited to a certain version of Windows?

Please accept my apologies for my tardiness in responding. I responded when I saw your question, but it appears that I did not send out my responses. Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/Vista32/Vista64/Window7/WIN8/Win10 are all supported by the wheel. There is a vibration driver that works in tandem with the wheel.

Why does it appear that if you blow on it, it will break?

It will. Expensive and poorly constructed.

Excellent Racing Wheel at a Low Price
5/5

The GAMEMON Racing Wheel is an excellent value for money steering wheel. This Wheel is ideal for PC driving simulators, particularly American Truck Simulator. br>br>There are a few things I like about this Wheel, and only a few things I dislike. br>br>2 MODESbr>You can use the Wheel in two different modes. br>br>Mode 1 (X-) (X-) (X-) (X-) (X-) (X-) (X- Input) - When you plug it in, the first mode you'll see is for a USB Racing Wheel. It will be recognized as a Racing Wheel in some games, but not in others. br>br>Mode 2 (D-) br>br> Input) - When you press and hold the home button for a few seconds, you'll enter the second mode, which is more of a controller. It will be recognized as a Dualshock Controller by the games. In this mode, almost all games will work. br>br>SIZE/FEELbr>This Wheel has a nice, sturdy feel to it. The Red on the Wheel has a rubber feel to it, which provides good grip and comfort, and the Wheel is a good size and weight. This Wheel is usually on my lap when I'm using it. br>br>The suction cups on the bottom of the Wheel stick to smooth surfaces extremely well. I usually secure the Wheel to a more advanced form of stationary control, such as a children's book, and it works flawlessly; the suction cups have never come undone or moved. br>br>200 DEGREEbr>Because this wheel rotates 200 degrees, it's ideal for driving simulators. br>br>PLAYSTATION 3br>On the PS3, only Mode 2 seems to work. I only own a few PS3 racing games, so I'm not sure how well it works with the majority of them. br>br>Br>Br>Br>Br>Br>Br>Br>Br>Br Connecting the Wheel to the PS3 took about a minute. I tried plugging it in, but nothing happened. Then I plugged it in again, and nothing happened, but after a few moments of waiting, it started working. br>br>Games – All of the controls worked, and I didn't have to change any of the buttons in the games I tried it out on. With the Pedals, there was only one issue: I'll go into greater detail about this at the Cons. br>br>PLAYSTATION 2br>There is a PS2 Controller plug on this wheel that you can use with your PS2. Because I don't have any PS2 racing games, I couldn't put this Wheel to the test. br>br>PCbr>This Wheel performs admirably on a PC. The Wheel came with a disc that was supposed to be used to install the drivers, but I didn't use it and the Wheel still works fine. br>br>My favorite games to play with this Wheel are American Truck Simulator, Trackmania Turbo, Spintires, and Cruis'n World. The controls in these games were the most fluid. br>br>American Truck Simulator is a game that allows you to play as a truck driver in the United States. Both modes of play are supported in this game. However, I believe that Mode 1 is the best option, as this game offers a variety of settings and sensitivities to ensure that the Wheel runs as smoothly as possible. Playing this game with the Wheel is a blast, and it's by far my favorite game to play with it. br>br>Spintires- if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be. Both modes of play are supported in this game. However, I believe that Mode 2 is the most effective, and that this Wheel is ideal for Spintires. br>br>Grid 2 br>br>Grid 3 br>br>Grid 4 Both modes of play are supported by this game. The gas pedal, on the other hand, functions as a button in both Modes. This makes the game extremely challenging to play, and I'll go into more detail about it in the Cons section. Because there are Paddle Shifters and a Gear Shift on this Wheel. Setting the Paddle Shifters to Shift and using the Gear Shift as the E Brake was a lot of fun. br>br>Retroarch- if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be. The Wheel would only work in Mode 2 for me. Retroarch, on the other hand, recognized it as a controller, and I was able to navigate the menus with it. I had to remap the controls in the Mame games I played to get the gas pedals to work, but that's not a big deal. br>br>ANDROIDbr>The Wheel does not state that it works with Android. I did, however, test it on my smartphone, and it worked. I tried out a few different racing games and found that the majority of them worked with the Wheel in Mode 1. In Mode 2, I couldn't get the Wheel to work. br>br>Apple Store- Except for the Pedals, Table Top Racing, Horizon Chase, and Beach Buggy Racing all used the Wheel. All of those games worked with steering and automatic gas, so they're still playable; you won't be able to control the gas or brake, though. br>br>Emulation br>br>Emulation br>br>Emulation br Retroarch and Mupen64Plus FZ worked flawlessly on the Nintendo 64, just as they did on the PC. You can set the Pedals to work for any game in these emulators because they have controller mapping. The buttons on the Wheel can be used to play any game, not just racing games, which is an added benefit of using it on Retroarch. I was able to play Contra with ease using the D Pad and buttons. br>br>CONSbr>There are only a few cons to this Wheel, one major one and a few minor annoyances. Pressure Sensitive- the Pedals on the PS3 register as X and Square. As a result, you won't feel any pressure from R2. In some PC games, when using the Wheel in Mode 2, this is also the case. Most racing games become nearly impossible to play as a result of this. Grid 2 was a difficult and frustrating game to play. When you press the gas pedal, you'll find yourself spinning out of control. br>br>Buttons in Duplicate - In some games, the Wheel can be used to shift instead of the Gear Shift or Paddle Shifters. However, in some games, the Paddle Shifters are mistaken for the Gas Pedals. The Gear Shifter and the two buttons on the top of the Wheel are the same. This is both a positive and negative aspect of the situation. If you only want to use the Paddle Shifters as Pedals and don't want to plug the Pedals in, this is a good option. However, in games where each button has a different function, this is a problem. You won't be able to control anything with the Paddle Shifters or Gear Shift. br>br>Vibration br>br>Vibration br>br>Vibration b This isn't necessarily a negative aspect of the Wheel; it's just a minor irritation. When the Wheel first starts to vibrate, it emits a high-pitched whine. This is adequate for the majority of games and daytime use. However, if you use this late at night, especially with Spintires, it can be dangerous. It primarily produces a high-pitched whine, which can be easily corrected by simply turning off the vibration. br>br>Pedal Size- this isn't always a bad thing, but it can be irritating. The pedals are extremely close to each other for me. When playing a racing game, you must consistently use both pedals. Holding my legs so close together for a long time tires them out, which may not be a problem for most people, but it is for a fatty like me. br>br>Stickers- if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, these are the stickers for you. Another time, this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it can be irritating. The Stickers on the Wheel are slightly misaligned, giving the impression that the Wheel is tilted, but it is only the Stickers. I've included two photos. br>br>PHOTOSbr>I've included two photos. br>br>First Image- compares the sizes of GAMEMON's two Wheels. br>Second Image – demonstrates the stickers I mentioned in the Cons. Overall, this is an excellent PC Driving Wheel. I had a lot of fun with this Wheel, and the size was ideal for sitting on my lap. If you're planning on playing on the PS3, however, I wouldn't recommend this Wheel. The Pedals registering as X completely detracts from the overall experience. But if you're going to play American Truck Simulator on PC, this Wheel is a must-have, especially for the price; I think it was worth it just to play with a Wheel.

Hyperspin will love it
5/5

Because it was so inexpensive, I didn't have high hopes for this wheel. It's actually better than expected and accomplishes a great deal. I needed a wheel for my Hyperspin arcade games, and since it has a USB port for plugging in Xbox controllers, the wheel effectively doubles as an Xbox controller, allowing me to play the driving games. It also picks up on the rumble. For the switch, it also works well. The only game I've tried so far is Virtua Racing, but it makes a huge difference in terms of control, and I imagine this wheel will work for a lot of other systems that use an Xbox controller. The suction cups are excellent, but I wish it came with a clamp down option for use with the various racing rigs available. This is a great option if you're looking for a low-cost universal wheel.

I'm sorry, but this isn't what I had hoped for
3/5

This was purchased for my children to use with their PlayStation 3 and their driving games, primarily Need For Speed. I give up after plugging it in and trying it. The turn sensitivity is constant, and the buttons simply do not function as they should. It might work in other games, but it's completely useless in NFS and on the PS3. After speaking with customer service, it appears that the company employs children who use emoticons and are more concerned with the company's success than with customer satisfaction. I bought a Thrustmaster Ferrari wheel and will see how it works out.

It was disappointing
3/5

I bought it for my son's birthday. He's had his eye on one for quite some time. He couldn't get it out of the box fast enough because he was so excited! So I go over to assist him in setting it up, only to discover that it will not connect to our PS2! So I compared it to the controllers that plug in, and they're not exactly the same! It lacks the slight notch in the middle that allows it to be fully plugged in! My son is extremely dissatisfied with the outcome! He finally has his racing wheel and pedals, but he is unable to use them!.

Do not attempt to use with a computer
3/5

Don't try to run it on a newer computer. The box's driver was broken. They can't be found on the internet.

UPS fails, whereas Gamemon succeeds
5/5

Despite the fact that Gamemon provided me with an excellent product, UPS dropped it halfway down my driveway. That was the only issue I had. Aside from that, this is an excellent product for those looking for a mid-range wheel shifter and pedals. I say mid-grade because I believe the higher-end ones use force feedback rather than vibration. This product comes highly recommended by me for anyone who wants to get more immersion out of driving games.

This device does not satisfy me, and I dislike it
3/5

It refused to play along with my racing game. Connecting to my gaming console took nearly three hours. It doesn't sit well with me.
