To hang a daybed, we needed something sturdy but not ornate. After much searching, these appeared to be the best option; they are reasonably priced and of good quality. Overall, we found exactly what we needed. We did go out and get longer lag bolts than what they provided, but that was no big deal. I've got $4 more to spend. 00 on other lag bolts, and I'll save these for a smaller project down the road, so we're happy.
The swing hangers themselves appear to be well-crafted and well-designed. I used threaded rod and bolted the hinges through the beam instead of lag screws because I have a redwood overhead beam and am concerned that redwood isn't dense enough to keep the lag screws from working themselves out over time.
I needed a hanger that could be used with a wooden swing set and could accommodate all four ropes from a web tree swing. Winding up the swing and taking it for a spin is a favorite pastime of both children and adults. This hanger is ideal because it can handle a lot of weight, is made of stainless steel, and is simple to put together. I did, however, buy two stainless steel six-packs. inch bolts with washers, lock washers, and nuts were used to ensure that the screws went all the way through the 4 x 6 treated board that serves as the playset's beam.
The hardware is of a high standard. My error was misreading the product description, thinking it was for two sets of brackets rather than one set of two brackets. Heavy Duty Hangers are nice, but the lag screws are a waste of time. They're utter nonsense. The screw's threads did not begin at the tip, making it impossible to screw into studs; I had to go to HD and purchase real stainless lag bolts.
My first order was incorrectly filled, and I had to return it. The order, however, was completed and arrived two days later. br>So the most difficult part of installing these is locating your ceiling joist. They're extremely durable, and they're simple to set up and use. On one set, there is a chair Hamic, while on the other, there is a yoga Hamic. Strong and durable.
I loved how simple they were to put together and how sturdy they were for my Hammock and Hammock Chairs. I would strongly advise anyone looking for security and a well-built product to purchase this one. I bought two sets and then ordered another one a week later.
