This is a gift I bought for my son for Christmas, after comparing the prices of a ton of similar products Looks like an interesting product. Seeing an image of a product is difficult because you cannot judge how sturdy and fun it is. I really like these. The process of making a 3D shape is easy. There's no need to worry about the sticks being too small. It was a good choice to buy two packages to have enough for big projects. I would recommend this set to anyone who is looking for something for a child at least five years old. The balls are small enough to swallow, so for children with oral fixations, this is probably not a good choice. I gave it to my son, who is 10 years old, as a gift and he really liked it.

As a gift for my niece, I decided to go with this set since I used to have a similar set a while back. There were many things I didn't like about this set! Magnets aren't strong enough to hold many of the things you could build, so they bend under their own weight and collapse. Ultimately we had a very frustrating hour of playing with my niece that ended with her boxing it up so that we could return it and find something else she likes.

I would like him to play with them more, but he doesn't do it as much as I had expected. As a matter of fact, my husband played with them more than my son at first. The magnetics are well maintained as far as their integrity is concerned. I would not hesitate to buy from them again, just be aware that there are a lot of pieces to keep track of. While attempting to store items in a bin, they continually catches on one another and become extremely magnetic. This would not be an issue if the items were not magnetic. The ideal solution would be for there to be a larger back for you to drop items into rather than perfect slots for them. The only criticism I have is that the product is made of plastic.
