Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use them with Picasso magnetic tiles?

They are, indeed.

Is the magnetic force comparable to that of picasso tiles? According to reviews, Playmags tiles aren't as good as Magna tiles. ?

I'm not sure how strong picasso tiles are, but these magnets certainly aren't. Obviously not as durable as Magna tiles):

Are the Magnatiles the same size as the squares?

I have no idea what magnatiles are. This was a gift to my grandchildren. My 3-year-old son, according to my daughter, plays with him several times per day. She did mention that her mother-in-law has a more expensive set? These, on the other hand, are a huge hit with the kids. When the 5 year old gets home, they both want to play and build big, so a second set would be very helpful! I'm guessing you're looking for something in a similar size, so we could collaborate? I think they'd get along swimmingly! I'm thinking about getting a set for my house!

Is there a carrying case for this?

There isn't a case included.

Utilizes Maga- Tiles ! So, I bought these for my daughter for Christmas this year, but I wanted to make sure they were compatible with the Magna-Vista
5/5

She already owns a set of tiles from this brand. I received these today and opened the box to take a look at them. br>This set appears to be one of Cossy's "older" tile styles - They claim to have grommets and possibly a few other features in some of their new advertising, but this set lacks those features. The tiles are bright and appear to be just as well made as the Magna-Tiles when you first open the box. Tiles. I didn't want to rip them all out of the box, so I just took one of each of the major shapes and compared them. They do, in fact, work with my Magna-Flex. Both the Tiles brand and the APEAR brand appear to be of comparable quality. If you look closely, the magnets in this set appear to be a smidgeon thinner than those in the Magna-Magna-Magna-Magna-Magna-Magn However, I used this brand to construct a cube and a pyramid, and they appear to work well together. br>I shared a photo of Magna- On the left, tiles, and on the right, Cossy - If there is a difference, it is minor, and I am confident that my 2-year-old daughter will not notice. br>I'm putting these away for Christmas - I'll update my review if anything happens to make it less than five stars.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to having fun with the whole family
5/5

These are a lot of fun for my kids to play with. They made a glowing castle out of these magnetic blocks today by putting small lights inside the cubes and pyramids. It's a fantastic product that will keep you entertained for a long time.

Magnets have a very low magnetic field strength
3/5

I'm not sure how it got so many five-star ratings. The quantity of pieces for the price is appealing, but the magnets in this set are significantly weaker than those I've seen in other sets. We got these because the kids love playing with them at their grandmother's house, and we have two other friends who also have them, so that's what they want. When they first started playing with these, I was extremely disappointed because they don't work nearly as well as the others we've tried. br>In general, the others appear to use stronger metal type magnets, whereas these use a black refrigerator magnet material. When you place a piece vertically, such as on the base piece on the floor, it will not stay upright unless you create a 45-degree corner with another piece. With the other sets, this wasn't a problem. Also, if you connect the pieces end to end and hold them up, one square will only support/hold the weight of one square below it, whereas the set my mother has (which I literally went over to try after we used ours for the first time) will hold up to four squares below it before the magnet becomes too weak to hold. That's significantly less powerful! br>Another test we did at their grandmother's house was to build a tower with a base of one of the large base pieces and be able to stack just walls with the single square and window type pieces, resulting in a tower that was about 3 feet tall. We haven't been able to stack a tower that is even close to 2 feet high without it buckling. br>br>I'm not sure where you can get stronger magnets, but I'd steer clear of this set if I were you; it's not nearly as good. Anyway, I was surprised because these guys advertise themselves as having the highest quality magnet blocks, which they most certainly do not. Since the children are only three years old, they still enjoy playing with them, so they are probably in the sixties, but if you care, they are of lower quality.

Excellent for stimulating the imagination
5/5

These are a hit with my two-year-old, and if you play them in the sun, you get a lovely stained-glass effect.

Countless hours of fun
5/5

These blocks are a hit with both of my sons (4, in total). Since we got them, they've been playing with them every morning! While I prepare for the day, this keeps them occupied. I don't have any other brands to compare, but the magnets are strong enough for us (I believe some people expect them to hold weights on top!). They would complain if they were too strong because their children couldn't separate them!) We bought the 120 piece set and use almost every piece while playing! These are perfect for all of the school birthday parties that we attend, and I like that they come in a variety of sizes and price ranges.

For all ages and genders, this is a MUST HAVE TOY set
5/5

We have a 7-year-old Picasso tile set that gets a lot of use. However, we now have more children, and the boys have been particularly rough with them, resulting in a few casualties. As a result, Santa brought a new set of tiles this year for Christmas. The Picasso tiles are beautiful, but the color palette is limited, and the shapes are all standard. These Cossy tiles are absolutely stunning. First and foremost, the colors are absolutely stunning! The colors in this set aren't your typical primary colors, which can feel tired and juvenile; instead, they're bright and fresh, with more variety. We received all of the same shapes as before, but this set includes a fantastic assortment of specialty pieces. For the Christmas morning reveal, Santa (or perhaps my husband) built a magnificent castle. My children are thrilled to have more pieces to work with now, and they are especially enthusiastic about the unique pieces. This set breathed new life into a toy that was already a fan favorite! br>br>I can't compare Magnatiles to Picasso, but I got Picasso as a cheaper option years ago because they were said to be the same in reviews with the exception of grommets. Aside from the old set being scratched and not as shiny and translucent as it once was, there is no discernible difference between the two sets. The magnets are equally powerful, and the build and quality appear to be identical. I discovered some minor differences in the internal seams of some of the shapes, which I edited to include. There doesn't appear to be any difference other than the aesthetic. My kids use these to build all kinds of fractilated structures. br>br>See photo of a few Cosy and Picasso side by side. br>br> Magnet tiles are used in a variety of other games as well. They use them as fortifications and prisons for superhero toys. They construct ramps, targets, and garages for use with automobiles. Targets for nerf guns and other shooting toys are made by them. They are the ones who cause the dominoes to fall. traps are built by them. Sometimes they just build doll cribs. br>br>This is also the game that I notice my kids playing when they're getting along the best; they engage in cooperative imaginative play, and there's very little squabbling now that we have enough pieces to accommodate all four of them. They have the option of playing together or individually. br>br>This is one of the few toy sets that I insist on keeping in the living room. There are a lot of options. It appeals to people of all ages and genders—at the time of writing, my children were 10, 7, almost 5, and 21 months old. There are three boys and one girl in this family.
