It works great on both lower and slightly higher carpets!
It isn't a particularly lengthy piece. When my son was first learning to walk, he enjoyed playing with this. So, from 1 to 2, it's something like that.
This toy is a hit with my grandchildren, who range in age from 1 to 4. I purchased one for each of them so that they would have their own. They enjoy it so much that they have given each one a name.
When a child pulls the toy, the toy wiggles and the legs move. It's a great item to have for a year or up to three years.

This is a hit with my daughter!.
Normally, each of these adorable pull puppies costs $15. br>Because I have two grandchildren, this was an ideal purchase. We take these puppies to the park, where the girls (18 months) enjoy walking them around the cement walkways and tennis courts. They're so adorable when they're strolling around with their puppies. br>Until now, all of the pieces (legs, head, and tail) have moved as expected, even after the puppy was covered in sand in the sand box. It will be simple to hose them down when we get home because they are all plastic. I'm a grandmother who's had one of these for about ten years at my house. My grandchildren have all enjoyed playing with it, including putting the string in their mouths to chew on when they were teething. Pre-pandemic, I simply soap the string, rinse it thoroughly, and hang it to dry. The older children (ages 5 and up) 6 enjoy playing with it or squabbling over it. I bought this one to give to a newcomer for his first birthday because he lives too far away to visit me frequently. It is a hit with all the kids. And it will continue to exist indefinitely.
She's 17 months old and only stands in the 25th percentile for height, but the string is a little short at only 24 inches long. It also has a habit of falling over. The wheels are only about 1/8" wide, and while they are farther apart than the original version, they aren't wide enough to provide a stable foundation. For the sake of sturdiness, I wish we'd gotten the original version instead.
She was ecstatic! Pulling the puppy along was a lot of fun for her, and she got a lot of pretend play out of it as well. Because my second daughter was born in 2006, she was also playing with this toy by 2008. Both girls had a plethora of noisy toys, including kitchens, doll houses, baby dolls, and other animals, but this was/is a simple toy that piqued their interest. We still have this toy, as well as another one that a friend gave me that HER child played with, loved, and outgrew, six years later. Both puppies are still alive and well; they are tough, as evidenced by my daughters' banging and dragging them up playground equipment and across roads. The benefit of not being electronic is that it requires no batteries and still makes a small barking noise that they find amusing. It hasn't broken yet, by the way. even after being played with by a couple of dozen kids over the course of a few years I would strongly advise!.
The string on this toy is extremely short. It does not bark as advertised, and because it is so light, it easily flips over, which is inconvenient for adults who have to turn it back right side up on a regular basis. br> I don't recommend it.
For a two-year-old with a dog in the house, this is an excellent toy. She is constantly asking to walk our German shepard puppy, which we refuse to do for obvious reasons. She dragged her stuffed dog around the house one day with a ribbon around his neck. "Mommy, I'm going for a walk, doggie!" Imagine my delight when I came across this adorable little guy who walks around with his tail and ears wagging and his little paws going up and down. She enjoys taking her very own dog out for walks. I thought he'd be gone after a few weeks because he was so cheap, but he's been through the ringer and is still wagging his tail.
This was purchased as a present for a one-year-old friend of ours. I remember wanting one of the small toy puppies as badly as I wanted a real puppy when I was a kid. I knew he had to have it as soon as I saw it on the party's gift registry! And, according to what I've heard, as soon as they got it home and he saw it, he made a b- It had a direct line to it, and I really liked it! This is a fantastic toddler present! Ours had a small black scuff mark on the top of its head that I couldn't remove, but it didn't detract from the product's quality; it was just annoying and embarrassing to give as a gift. Everything else was excellent, and it arrived promptly!.
