It's a deal where you get two things for the price of one. So I got this toy for my one-year-old daughter as a gift, thinking she'd enjoy the interactive pull toy. br>br>Little did I realize I had made a tragic error. br>br>I had no idea how traumatic it would be for my daughter to see her mother rip the shell off a happy little snail with excitement while rattling its shell to get the blocks out, then shoving my hand inside to grab the blocks, only to look up and see my daughter completely traumatized with wide eyes and a dropped jaw to what I had just done to this poor little snail. br>br>Now all she does is hold the snail's base and try to comfort it as long as she can before it takes its final breath. Or until mommy falls asleep and velcros the shell to the base. br>br>It goes without saying that the toy is durable. It's perfect; there's nothing wrong with it; however, my daughter is now studying to become a veterinarian in order to save this shell-shaped creature. Her mother's life was reduced to a snail's pace.
Although I want to like this toy, I am concerned about the paint quality. When my child sucked on one of the eyes, the paint began to peel away. For children who are still sucking on toys, this is not a safe environment. High-quality product from China. It's going back to you.
This is a cute snail that you can pull along with you. It's made of wood. Because the eyes' connectors resemble rubber tubes, the eyes can move around. The snail's shell simply rests on the wheel's base. A baby will be unable to use the entire system as a result of this. They can use the shell to put the blocks in and out, but they are unable to prop the shell onto the base due to a lack of motor skills. Putting the shell on was actually a bit strange for me. And if you hit the snail's side, the shell will come loose. As a result, this is pulled around shellless, while the shell is used as a shape sorter. I wished it wasn't multifunctional so that the baby could fully enjoy it. It appears that the wood is of good quality. Despite rabid baby chewing, there have been no paint chipping issues so far. So, it's well-made but has some flaws in terms of functionality.
This is such a cute toy! Bright colors, a sturdy design, and a variety of entertaining ways to play (putting the pieces in and out, pulling the toy along)- The tail moves up and down, spinning the circle as it does so, which is absolutely adorable. I deducted a star because of two factors: 1) the circle that holds the shapes is a little difficult to align correctly on the base so that it spins as you pull it, which has caused my older child (4 years old) to cry a couple of times) and 2) the shape sorter only accepts three shapes, which I suppose I should have realized when I bought it, so I guess that is my fault-- I was looking for something with a little more variety. Parents should be aware that the side where the shapes are removed makes it fairly simple to take the shapes in and out rather than putting them through the shaped holes. I don't mind because my 12-month-old finds it to be a fun activity in and of itself- My husband refers to this area as "the easy side. " Overall, it's a fantastic toy that I would purchase again, and I like that it appeals to both my older infant and my four-year-old.
This toy is a hit with my 15-month-old son. He scoots around with it all over the place, which is hilarious. He wouldn't let go of it even in the grocery store. Everyone remarked on how cute it was. He's still learning how to pull the string, but I'm confident he'll get it soon. He removes the sorter and enjoys pushing his snail around. I'm glad I gave it a few days before returning it; it's such a beautifully crafted toy, but my baby had shown no interest in it for the first few days, and I was about to return it. Then, as if by magic, his favorite toy reappears the following week. I enjoy watching him use it to scoot around the house. I'm pleased with my purchase as well as the company.

He adores it and uses it all the time. br>br>When he was younger, he liked rolling the shell on the floor (with the blocks inside, it makes a very loud, satisfying 'clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-clack-cla clack- As it rolls, it makes a clacking sound). Now that he's fully immersed in the matching game, I'm guessing the next step will be to use it as a pull toy during his toddler adventures around the house. br>br>I was also blown away by the toy's build quality. The fit and finish are superb, and the wood is of superior quality. With no rough edges, the product is of excellent quality. The colors are vibrant and pleasing to the eye.
After regular use, our snail's tail snapped in half. We prefer wooden toys over plastic toys because they last longer. Unfortunately, even with infrequent use, this high-quality wooden toy only lasted a year. I contacted customer service, who offered a replacement at 50% off suggested retail price plus shipping. That isn't going to be worth it. We thought we'd found a nice toy for all of our kids to enjoy, but it didn't even make it past the first one.
My baby has only recently begun to walk, and he enjoys dragging this toy behind him. The shape sorter is a nice extra. When the toy is pulled, it creates the snail's shell, which rotates. When you pull the shapes out of the shape sorter, they make a clattering sound as they tumble around inside the toy. My one-year-old frequently pulls the shape sorter out of the toy, causing it to fall out. new br> My baby puts the toy's eyes inside his mouth while playing with it, and the entire eye fits inside. When I see him doing something like that, I stop him and take it away from him. I'm worried that he'll chew it off or that the eyes will fall out and cause a choking hazard, but so far the eyes haven't popped out. It isn't a deal breaker for me, and I am pleased with my purchase.
