It is a big hit with my 6-month-old grandson. I'm afraid I'm not qualified to make generalizations about 18-month-olds. She'll probably get tired of it, but an 18-month-old might enjoy it if presented with it for the first time.
They come with add-ons.
Shouldn't the components have been included?

This toy gave me the creeps. I have an eleven-year-old son. month- This toy looked eerily similar to something I would have enjoyed as a child. As an adult, I think it's cute, but I prefer things that are traditionally associated with femininity. So I was a little worried about getting this and instilling my love of pink and frill in my baby (which, you know, isn't really relevant at this age because all she does is try to eat it, but here I am). It did, however, have a mirror, and my daughter adores her reflection. So I ordered it, and it turned out to be quite good. It includes educational elements such as a round lipstick, a square powder puff, and the alphabet. There are a few modes to choose from: I remember singing, pretending, and something else (educational?). It tells her she looks "amazing" and says things like "ooo la la" and other things, which some people may find irritating because it emphasizes her physical appearance. Obviously, my baby doesn't understand what the thing is saying at this age, and even if she does, I believe there are worse things in life than having a toy vanity tell you that you look fantastic. It's also not a particularly irritating toy, even when she keeps playing the same song over and over again. I mean, I'm not going to go out and buy the album right now, but things could be a lot worse. She doesn't appear overly enthusiastic about the mirror, which is interesting. I believe it slightly distorts. br>br>Overall, I think this is a great toy. Very cute, not too annoying, and entertaining for babies and toddlers (hopefully, because I don't want to buy any more toys).
The mirror and its music are really beautiful, however, as this item was depicted with ads to let you visualize the accessories that go into designing the music. The ads show just the accessories, which the advertisement pictures show as you put the music on. I'm also not sure where they got the item because it wasn't in its original packaging because all of the accessories were missing, and it came in a plain brown Amazon cardboard box when it was supposed to be in a Fisher-Price box. Price packaging is similar to the originals, but I believe this item was manufactured in 2014, so it may have been back stock from somewhere, but they should inform you before purchasing that the items are all missing accessories that are supposed to be included, and you are only purchasing the mirror.
Because it was a gift, I can't comment on the item's quality. I'm afraid it's too late for me to return it, but if I had the opportunity, I would. The packaging, not the product, is the source of my disappointment. It's packaged in a brown cardboard box. If I were buying a toy for my child, a brown box would be fine, but if I were giving it as a gift, I would be embarrassed because the box makes the gift appear "unpolished. " I wish it stated in the description that it is not packaged in an official "fisher-man" container. If I had bought it in a store, I would have expected a polished box for the price.
The set is absolutely adorable, I must say. When you lift the items out of the vanity, it speaks to you in the sweetest voice, saying things like "You look stunning!" ", as well as "It's time to get ready!" " There are a lot of positive messages in it, and the sounds and voice aren't at all annoying. The majority of talking toys are unpleasant to listen to, but this one is delightful. Our daughter is so young that she doesn t have everything figured 100% out 200% yet, but knows how to make it talk and loves the lights that flash around the mir This is a fantastic toy! Also, the battery life is excellent.
This is a favorite toy of mine and my children. This would have been a hit with my firstborn. This was a Christmas present for my 9-month-old son, and it is the only toy he plays with every day. The songs are adorable, she adores the accessories, and the mirror is crystal clear, allowing her to see herself clearly. My 6-year-old daughter (girl) and 2-year-old son (boy) are also frequent users of the set. Yes, it came in a brown box; I order a lot of things that come in easy-to-open boxes. There are no annoying zip ties or other hassles to get to the toy, so you can just take it out of the box and start playing with it. Also, yes, the accessories shown are included. If you received this product but did not receive the accessories, as some reviewers claimed, that was an obvious error and you should return the item.
It appears to be long-lasting and will provide endless hours of entertainment! However, I feel compelled to mention this because it disturbs me. I was dissatisfied with the fact that the price of this product was around $30ish when I bought it about three months ago, and then it was raised to around $140 right before Christmas. That, in my opinion, is completely absurd, given that this was not a popular item for Christmas in 2020, nor is it a collectible. Anyway, the toy is fantastic, and I would strongly suggest it to any parent looking for a gift for their child.
She currently enjoys picking up and dropping loose pieces, as well as the sound effects and music. She's too young to fully comprehend what this toy is doing, but she's having a great time with it and will no doubt grow into it. The vanity is quite small in size. That's a plus in my book. It's simple to store and my daughter can carry it because it's not too bulky or heavy. It's so cute to see her examine herself in the tiny mirror.
