My daughter, who is almost one year old, has been doing a lot of "putting things into other things" recently. So I bought it as soon as I saw it because I thought she'd enjoy the music and lights when she put all of her toys (not just the fake food) into the bowl. br>br>So far, it's been great; she stuffs it with as many toys as she can. It takes a bit of pressure to turn on the sounds and light, almost like there's a button underneath the bowl. It could be more sensitive because even the included toys aren't particularly heavy, so it doesn't always respond. br>br>The alphabet sticker was also peeling at a corner when it arrived; I tried sticking it back on but it just peeled off. It would be preferable if it was simply printed on the bowl, but this has no bearing on how it functions. br>br>Overall, it is something that my daughter enjoys. A contented child equals a contented mother. It's something I'd recommend to others, especially if their children are learning how to put things in containers. It also matches her playhouse kitchen, so I'm sure she'll have a lot of pretend play as she gets older.
I had high hopes for this toy, but I would not recommend it at this time. br>It's a bit of a "meh" situation. There is no return on your investment. We've never finished the "recipe," which includes some lights and a song. It doesn't recognize any of its accessories except for breaking the egg on the side of the bowl (which, by the way, does not break; I guess you're supposed to use your imagination, though my child would have loved that feature). ) I'm not sure how they're making such a profit on this.
My only criticism is that the alphabet sticker began to peel off after only a week of use, but this is a simple fix. I'd buy this as a gift again in a heartbeat!.
This set is a big hit with my son. I got it for his first birthday and he played with it for hours the first couple of weeks he had it. He enjoys the lights and individual toys, and the measuring cups and small bottle of milk are items he will carry around and play with while he is doing other things. It's something I wish I'd discovered sooner!.
Our 12-month-old loves it, and the ABC song is a cute jazzy tune that you haven't heard before, so you can listen to it for at least another 1000 times without going insane (if you have older children, you know what I mean). It teaches techniques such as "cracking" an egg, adding cherries and chocolate, "measuring" ingredients, and pouring. One of the songs contains a recipe, and I'm pleased with my purchase overall. I would give this a ten out of ten recommendation and will most likely give it to a lot of one-year-olds in the future.
This is such a lovely set! This was a present for my youngest child's first birthday. We haven't yet gotten to the learning/interactive part of it. However, when I tested it out, it had some interesting sayings and directives. She is currently enamored with all of the ingredients, with the mixing spoon being her personal favorite. For babies and toddlers, this book is a must-have. My four-year-old son also likes to play with it.
This is a cute little mixing bowl. When you press down on the bowl or place items in it, it makes a noise and illuminates. It has two settings for ABC or 123, but within those settings, it also sings songs and talks about colors. The mixing bowl also has a volume control with two settings, one of which I prefer, but even on the loud setting, this toy isn't obnoxious.
All of my toddler's noisy toys are a big hit with her. I bake cakes, so this was a no-brainer for her birthday present. She's two years old and enjoys pretending to be in the kitchen. With the lights and music, it's really cute. Vtech toys are one of my favorite brands.
