A plastic pellet is a small round ball of plastic. The sheets work OK but become discolored after a few uses. This was just an issue after the first use, not a problem in the long run. As well as ceramic pellets, I bought them. A ceramic pellet is better than a plastic pellet in my opinion.

As far as they are concerned, they are effective. Plastic pellets are what they are. Those who work for them have a job to do.
The pellets are much better than other fillers that I've discovered so far. In comparison to most others, they don't grind down rocks as severely. This can be done more than once.
