Are you asking why it's not possible to set it for more than 10 days because the tumbler is broken? As a general rule, the four steps do not take more than 10 days each. It is not necessary to plan more days if you are tumbling harder things than usual. However, I would like to make an observation. You need to return the machine if it stopped working and is broken
It is best to have an adult assist you with gluing the gemstones to the rings and earrings. If you'd like a glue gun, we recommend one with a hot tip The adhesive sealant you can purchase at your local hardware store or online can be used for a variety of purposes.

The kit came with a rock tumbler of a different brand, and I'm in the process of tumbling the rocks at the moment. I was shocked by two things as soon as I opened the box. As a starting point, the stones were of better quality than I had I knew they would all turn out beautiful, even when they were in rough shape. There is nothing that a hobbyist could desire more than this kit of stones. Moreover, there were twice as many stones as could fit in my tumbler, so I got a two- for the price of one This is for By mistake, I received one bonus. I was surprised by what I experienced. It was my understanding that the kit would include a couple of small items okay. I would not enjoy looking at stones or the rest of them. No, it's not the case! Among the stones in this kit are huge, beautiful ones. In the past, I've used a kit that contained really poor quality and uninteresting merchandise This product exceeded my expectations, not just for the stones, but for the quality as well. As for the stones themselves, I was expecting half as many, each one half the size, and maybe they would look pretty lame as a set. It might be nice to have a few. It's still early to tell what my stones will look like but I can already tell it will be beautiful once I'm done tumbling this kit. Even if the tumbler is of a different brand, this kit is a good choice. * That said, another thing that I notice is that there are no instructions, which can be a problem for people like me who purchase this kit for a tumbler of another brand. Although not a problem, as I expect to be able to get the results I desire through a quick Google search and my evaluation of the stones after each cycle. It's the nature of the craft. There are no two stones that will ever be alike, so it's more of an art than a science I'll definitely buy (Please note Several photos in this review show half of the stones in the kit prior to tumbling, and the other half after the first cycle of grits.
With the tumbler I bought from National Geographic, I'm having a lot of fun. Having finished one group of stones, I went back to the supplier for a new group of stones. Since I am a lot older than the target audience of this article, my goals are probably a little different as well The stones I would like to wrap and to make jewelry out of are polished ones Therefore, 'pretty' has a great deal of significance. The other supplier I tried for rough stones has a reputation for good service and reasonable prices, but I am still too new to tumbling/polishing to be sure of the quality of their bulk grits and polishes, or results when using Kits like this one have the same ingredients as the ones that originally came with the kit. Getting consistent results with this Rough Gemstone Refill Kit is a must. Whenever I need it again, I will order it.
Despite using this for my son's rock collection, it didn't last through an entire kit. I purchased it for Christmas and it didn't even last through one of our rock kits. During the fourth step (polishing), we noticed the tumbler stopped working. As far as we can tell, the belts are okay. When I try to restart it, it spins for about 5 seconds before stopping. Since I emailed National Geographic directly over a month ago, I haven't heard anything back. There is so much disappointment in my son's eyes. I am sorry to hear that! In addition to that, we have two more rock packs that we won't even be able.
I purchased the Nat Geo starter kit and this refill kit is very good. It does not warn you to not put them all in at once, or how to ensure it is a safe weight. This is the only reason why I gave it a 4 star rating. Then there's the issue of refill kits that are too heavy and break the tumbler. I understood some of that with the knowledge of the process, but it's also not fun. Despite the fact that the tumbler was replaced at no cost, having some rocks that wouldn't have tumbled is a bit of a hassle. In spite of the mishap, the kit came with some great pieces, and I believe some smaller pieces did not require tumbling, so I think it makes up for it, and also my ignorance played a part. It comes with more jewelry and more reading material, which makes it a solid kit.
To be honest, I lost interest by then and the rocks were left inside for another week. The cylinder also spins incredibly fast, so it's extremely loud and there's a lot of vibration, so it's something you want to do outside. It works exactly like it should, but I suspect that it will prove to be a much bigger undertaking.
The National Geographic Rock Polisher came with a refill kit, which I included in the gift for my grandson. In spite of the fact that the polisher kit included with the polisher is still in the polishing stages, the kids seem to be having a great time. The refill kit will soon be in use as well as offering an excellent STEM learning experience. There are excellent specimens in the rocks that came with the original kit (currently being polished). I expect this refill kit to be of great quality as well, as the tiger eye is their favorite. Our purchase of Nat Geo is due to this reason.
This is what I bought. A gift for my grandson to go along with his NatGeo rock tumbler for Christmas. Our current finished product can only be opened for a month, so we let him open it now. At least he was excited to say the least. And he wanted to get started asap. I got an e-mail from my son They emailed Wednesday to let us know that grit one was complete and they were moving on to grit two. A large variety of stones were included, as was all the necessary equipment. I will be waiting for the finished product now, as this has been an awesome gift. The level of service provided was remarkable. Merry Christmas to my grandson and thank you for making it special.
It contains a nice variety of stones in generous sizes, as well as three beautiful tiger eyes (my favorites). A box of cheap colorless quartz is not as pleasing to me as a box of colorful roughs. My eyes are glued to the screen waiting This afternoon, I'll fill up the tumbler! However, I am grateful that the box includes a grit set although I did already have some grit on hand. The sum total of what you have is never enough. In terms of jewelry settings, they are quite basic, which is ideal for children's activities. However, for adult projects, you would be better off buying finer settings from There is no glue included in this kit. Purchase some if you don't already have any. As for the gem booklet, it is very informative. Overall, I believe this kit is worth the price because, after a day of trying to manage work and home demands, I am rewarded by the joy of working with these stones. You get a lot for your money!.
