In terms of what it can do, this set is severely restricted. It occurs to me that these wooden alphabet cards might be useful for teaching the ABCs as well as tracing the letters in order In spite of this, the letters blend into the wood, since it is all the same shade. It is very difficult to determine which of multiple identically shaped grooves is used for tracing in a pile of similar grooves Wooden cards colored in different colors. The purpose of this is to teach you how to create upper- and lowercase letters by showing you the motions. My preschooler is 4 and probably does not need that, but I think it will do fine for him. The year is My niece is not accustomed to doing things she does not enjoy, and so it is very difficult to get her to continue working on them for very long periods of time. Although she has traced arrows in activity books before, she does not see what the need for it is since she can "already draw arrows. ". It appears to be nicely made and looks to be well constructed, but it doesn't seem like an item that my niece would enjoy.
For our preschooler to work on tracing letters to build pre-school skills, I picked up these wood blocks The skills to write well. One of the things that caught my wife's attention about this particular set was that it is an individual letter set. There are many tracing blocks that don't have individual blocks of wood, but write the entire alphabet on a block of wood. One side of the letter is capital and the other is lowercase. Having the ability to learn one letter per time makes it immensely helpful when going through the preschool curriculum so she has ONE letter to focus on instead of all the letters It's only the fact that there is no place to put the wooden writing tool that was included that is the only issue I have. With a 4yr old, I can see how these items can get lost. I would have loved to keep them all together for storage. All in all, this is a great set of letters, it's deep enough and it's a great tool for gaining muscle memory of how to correctly form capital and lowercase letters to become more proficient.
Wooden manipulatives and learning resources are one of our favorite things to have in our home, especially ones that can be used in multiple ways A purposeful approach. There are so many ways that these alphabet cards can be used, they're great. This can be used to trace the alphabet with a finger for young children or with a wooden pen for toddlers who are still learning to control their pen. You can also use them to spell words and to retrace crayon letter shapes. Our team has also devised a variety of games to play with the children, which helps them learn letters and sounds while also learning In addition to being smooth and beautifully made, they also look great in any type of space, which is a plus.
Learning tools like these are fantastic. Tracing them makes learning the lines easier. They are well made, and you can learn them easily. This is one of our favorite toys for kids and we highly recommend it. You are on the right track. Good luck.
