We recently began using this for our 3-year-old who is currently in early intervention, though we just used it for the first time yesterday. I love this book and it helps my toddler practice direction and speech, all while learning fun facts about colors, the alphabet, and more. It's well-made - I recommend it. It comes with the extra sleeve/pouch to store pieces, comes in an attractive cardboard box to store in when not in use, and has a handle so you can carry it around. The pieces are made of cardstock and are laminated to ensure no sharp edges. Since my son can identify it easily among his toys and books, he brings it to me when he wants to open and play with it, which is at least once There is only one thing I would have liked to have seen is a separate theme for fruits/vegetables, and another for animals. The weather is also a theme on a page describing how to match items. Having grown up, this threw me for a loop! found the seasons page to be outdated and the pictures could have been better. This is just a picky thing for me! This is a wonderful option for the.
As a parent during the pandemic, I had to assist the school in providing education to children under the age of 5. Remote learning was completely unfamiliar to me. In the past 4 months since the pandemic started, my daughter has been attending her preschool full time. Our daughter started preschool/daycare late, but since I no longer had help at home after having baby number two in August of 2019 we decided it would be best for her to do so now. The woman excelled in every sphere! . As a little side note, this is a huge deal for us because our daughter has delayed speech and was also hyperactive, so early intervention came in to help us until she turned three. After that, she was no longer receiving any help but was still delayed, as she was still in preschool A small amount of help was provided by K. Learning suddenly became difficult since she was quarantined at home with only myself and my 6 month old. As they were allowed to reopen, I had to adapt to her awesome teachers who would call daily to zoom her for "circle time. " After one year, they had closed because they were not able I began my search for things that will entertain and educate my daughter because my husband and I did not want her to be at risk. My sister in law purchased this book for my nephew who has autism, when she recommended it to me. She bought it for my nephew, who is 2 years old. It was wonderful to hear my sister rave about how well my nephew now knew his colors and his ABCs (at the time, he knew barely five words)*. Meanwhile, my daughter already knew her colors, her ABCs, opposites, weather, and the numbers 1 to 10. It became apparent that the solar system had nothing to do with the number 20 and the matching. With this knowledge, she now knows all of the planets in the solar system! As a routine, we now do this in the morning. Her favourite thing to do is to take them all out and review everything she already knows before putting them back again. *This is basically what I'm saying if your kid is like me and has already learned these things, it doesn't hurt to review them. It does no harm to review with children, since they are human and don't often forget or get confused. In addition to getting it for ourselves, we are getting it for our 18-month-old. His love for it is also undeniable!.
Other than that, it is awesome and I enjoyed reading it with my 3-year-old. The main issue is that the Planet Match page in the version I got is incorrect (see attached photo). There is an error in the order of planets from the sun. The seller should fix this mistake. I was especially excited about that page, as we are learning about planets at the moment, and it could be very confusing for my daughter to read since deducing the order of planets wrong would be confusing.
I found the product to be underwhelming for the price. Only a few pages are in it, and it's an inexpensive booklet. Further, they need to advertise the pens more effectively so that people know they are available separately. Because many of the pictures are of kids drawing, I missed that and was frustrated.
The velcro is secure enough that it doesn't fall off but isn't too hard for my child to pull apart. All of the pieces feel like thick card stock and aren't easily bent. I sometimes have to remind my son to use the abcs, numbers, and planets pages instead of other ones. After I pressed on the backing parts of the velcro pieces, they didn't move! I did have to go through and press on the backing parts of the velcro pieces since they weren't fully stuck on. The younger of my two boys spent over an hour taking the puzzle pieces out of the case while I assisted him in putting The set comes with a bag that keeps all the bits and pieces together. There is a repurposed box that comes with it Everything is able to be held together using this procedure. Replacement pieces of adhesive velcro circles are also provided, just in case any of the originals wear off. I am satisfied with my purchase overall!.
We have been working on matching with my two year old. Occupational therapy and speech therapy are both part of his treatment. I am sure I can incorporate all of the tasks they ask us to do into this book in some way. Moving always seems to be my son's way of life. Taking action is the same thing as Rather than sitting and playing with it, he will actually play with it. The colors of the animals and the sounds they make are the subject of our work. Nevertheless, I can draw Pluto onto it. I'm not too confident that Pluto is going to appear. In addition, since the sticks are just laminated paper, they bend and do get chewed if a 10-year-old happens to get their hands on them without your notice. As a result of its attack, it will bend and have two teeth marks.
