There isn't anything on it in terms of feel or smell. It's silky smooth and well-made. If you're looking for a simple but well-made board, this is one of two options. I like how the wooden pencil is attached to the string and how long it is. I hope you find this information useful.

Then, when I went to throw away the plastic in which it was packaged, I discovered this paper inside. I had no idea they gave money to help other kids, but that's incredible. Furthermore, rather than offering a discount code if you leave a 5-star review, as I've seen with other products, they still ask for an honest review. The item is fantastic and of excellent quality. It's thick enough that I won't have to worry about it cracking or snapping under the strain of rough toddler play. It's also been sanded smooth, so there won't be any sharp pieces of wood scratching anyone.
One that is faulty. The numbered arrows indicating how and in what order to write the letters and numbers were misprinted, with some nearly disappearing into the grooves of the letters and numbers, and others being cut off entirely by the grooves. They will almost certainly be rubbed / scratched off completely with repeated use (as intended / marketed), particularly by a toddler / preschooler (also as intended / marketed). br>br>I like how the stylus is attached while still allowing the boards to stack neatly (the knot of the tied string sits in a recessed hole, so it doesn't take up any extra space). br>br>In addition, I would have preferred that the board's edges were not so sharp, not only because it looks and feels better, but also because it's intended for small children who are still swinging things around and smacking anyone and everyone in their path. br>br>Aside from the printing issue, the price (I got it on sale) is more reasonable than comparable items, though I have never seen another in person to compare workmanship, design, or material choice. br>br>However, the printing issue is truly that important to me. While rubbed off arrows may be of little consequence once a child becomes familiar with writing them, they are still incredibly annoying, and effectively make it an item intended for only one child, not for younger siblings or friends who will need those arrows, and certainly not for selling later, when the whole point of buying this is longevity and sustainability (as you can get cheaper chipboard or plastic items that serve the same purpose), and in my opinion, it is also an item intended for only one child, not for younger siblings or Three out of five stars for this one. br>br>It's a shame that what appears to be a good product has quality control issues; I bought several boards in the hopes of finding one that wasn't defective. They all had this problem because of a defective one. I'm not sure if I should have tried again at a later date, since this defective batch was cleared out first. br>br>It also claims it can't be returned because it's "coated with a child-resistant coating," which is either patently false because it's just a board, or it was grossly misrepresented as being "coated with a child-resistant coating," which is either patently false because it's just a board, or it was grossly misrepresented as being "coated with a child-resistant coating," which is either patently false because it's just a secure end result " You get a minus one star because you're now making up reasons why it can't be solved. ".
When I got this, I was really impressed! Very well made, and after only a few weeks with them, my three-year-old is writing like a pro. We practice for approximately ten minutes. Every day for 15 minutes. The wooden alphabet and the dry erase booklet are two of his favorite things. LOVE how easily the booklet wipes away without leaving any residue! I'm so glad I bought these because they're such a good deal and a great writing tool! By the time my son starts preschool, he'll have excellent handwriting.
It's not a big deal. I gave this as a gift, and the recipient pointed out that some of the letters were missing. I'm attempting to contact the seller.
EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, E I like how the wooden writing tool is attached and can be used for a long time. I would strongly suggest it.
It's light and simple to trace, which I like.
The planks were thick and sturdily constructed. My daughter had no trouble tracing the letters on the boards. She enjoyed tracing the letters as she worked on her skills.
