These were purchased for my son as part of his virtual learning for first grade. In the in-house design, they used similar pattern blocks. class of people Although the kids were using an online shape tool, I prefer having a tactile version. br>br>I'm sure these could have been used for Kindergarten work, and based on what I've read, they can be used as a math manipulative throughout elementary school and into middle school. Playing around and creating their own patterns and designs can also be enjoyable for children, and pattern block cards with designs to copy can be purchased separately. br>br>Because the pieces are made of durable plastic, we should be able to use this set for quite some time. For the amount of blocks you get, I believe it is a good deal.

Despite the fact that they are made of plastic, they are fantastic! My daughter likes to pick everything up when she's done because the bucket they came in has a fantastic easy snap lid. The lid is her favorite part of the cleanup, lol! She's even started making her own shapes and pictures without the pattern blocks, and it's amazing to see her imagination come to life; she even recognizes her shapes. I nearly fell over when she held one up and said rhombus! When I told her the first time I opened the bucket, I couldn't believe she remembered the shape. These are an absolute must-have for your young students!.

These are far superior to what I had anticipated. I expected them to be thin, light, and flimsy when I saw the word "plastic" on the package, but they are actually strong and durable, with a slight weight to them. The proportions and edges appear to be fairly straight, flat, and consistent, even standing up on their edges! br>br>These were a hit with my niece as toys, with sharks, boats, and people made out of the shapes. We haven't even attempted patterns yet, but these are impressive. I highly recommend the 250 box; I was on the verge of getting the 150, and having extras of each shape is well worth it. br>br>On one side, there are mold marks, but they are uniform and do not appear to be too bad.

I don't usually leave reviews, but these pattern blocks have exceeded my expectations! I was planning on getting the wooden pattern blocks, but they're half the price, and I expected them to be flimsy, hollow plastic, but I went ahead and bought them anyway, because I've bought things for my preschooler before only to have them played with once and then ignored. These aren't made of cheap, flimsy plastic; they're sturdy and substantial! We use them almost every day, which is even better! They don't come with pattern cards, but if you search for "pattern block printable," you'll find plenty to print. I made a set of alphabet cards, which the preschooler adores. I'm sure they'll be around for a long time. For years to come, it will be used! My purchase has made me extremely happy!.

The addition of these blocks to my preschool classroom was ideal! These were very well received by the students, who found them to be well worth their money.
Pros: br>*Sturdy enough to be held and maneuvered by small hands. I've used some in the past that were foam and didn't last very long. These are made of a thick, hard plastic that is difficult to tear. br>*Vibrant colors that stimulate the brain and make learning time more enjoyable. br>*They are packaged in a storage container to make cleanup a breeze.
Cons: br>*There are no pattern block activities, so children will either engage in free play or create their own patterns, which isn't necessarily a bad thing!.

This is a fantastic collection. I can't tell you how many incredible creations my two children have made with it! Before getting sucked into the Minecraft world, this was their favorite building set. It's been at least three years since we got it, and they still play with it now and then. At one point, my older daughter had built five completely different-looking dogs next to each other, and my younger daughter, who believes she must prove she can do things better than her older sister, had built five different-looking cats! I believe in limiting children's television and computer time and encouraging them to create with real-world objects rather than just Minecraft, and this set does just that!.

This is a game I don't understand. However, it may be too dull or expensive for what it is. However, it teaches it effectively. It assisted me in recognizing my child's need for assistance. He is very good at naming shapes, solving puzzles, fitting them into holes, identifying similarities and differences, and so on. I was under the impression that he had finished this chapter (or "shapes chapter") (- That is why I did not purchase this earlier because my son is too good with shapes), but I purchased it to provide some variety, and he had difficulty with it. So I'll continue to train.
