Questions & Answers

Having mentioned the loop exit problem in reviews from 2016, has it since been resolved?

It has been a month since I ordered and there has been no problem. By landing on the exit or the 3 and 5 spaces, you get to exit the loop (if you get a plus. If you are looking at my board, they are correctly arranged.

In the case of small children, can the dice with just six numbers be beneficial for their practice of addition and ?

If you need a larger number, a ten would work well If you're 12 or older For those who are confident with numbers from 1 to 6, a six-sided die may be used.

I read reviews on the newer version of this game. Are these reviews for the newer version of the game, or for the older version? One review seems to indicate there is a bug in the newer version of the game. ?

The game is one I have played many times with kids without finding any errors. In the event that an old/new edition were to be printed An error has been introduced in the new version This has been corrected in the version of the game on the market

anyone who has recently purchased the game let me know if this problem continues? Are you stuck in an endless loop that you can't escape?

It's a game where you go around and around until you reach In the loop, you will either roll the 5 or the 6, but if you land on the 5, you will have exited the loop either way. The + sign puts you on the edge of the loop when you roll 5 spots ahead. You get a -1 if you roll a die If there is an exit from the loop, you will also find yourself at the end of it. I hope that helps!

It's a new board that ruins the game - The Learning Resources team overlooked a critical and glaring flaw! With the new board (the one with the round boulders for spaces versus the old
3/5

Several of the spaces within the loop have been moved to encompass the five and three. The previous theory was that landing on any one of these spaces would (unless your penalty was a minus three) guarantee your exit (as long as you landed exactly on the exit space), which means you had a good chance of exiting the loop at any given moment. There is nothing that will direct you to the exit if you select the "5" or "3" spaces anymore- In other words, they are useless! As a result, there's almost no chance of landing exactly on an exit space on any given turn, which DRASTICALLY prolongs I used to enjoy playing this game, but now I find it frustrating. Don't you think the whole point of this is Thus far, our "solution" to this problem has been to ignore the rule about landing exactly on the exit space, treating the exit space as any other space and disregarding the whole loop principle. My 4 year old loves this game and she gets plenty of addition and subtraction practice without having to sit through hours of drawing. If I had a sharpie, I would place the spaces where they are assumed to be on the board for more playability. In the event that Learning Resources either delivers the older version of the game board or if they let me review their older version, I will update my review with additional stars as I think it's a great game otherwise. How did this major flaw make it through Moreover, I note that Learning Resources recently commented on another review, saying that the only changes made to the board were aesthetic. There is a big difference in score between a one and five star game for me, and that keeps me from giving it a five.

The game has been ruined
3/5

This was an awesome game before. I hate it. This new version is much better than the old one. There was one small change in the new version that caused it to be overly frustrating and take on average twice or three times longer than To escape "Endless Loop", you had to move your mouse over three different squares. I see one now. Then you will go round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round. So you will go round and round until dinner is burned and the kids want to throw the board. If you can grab the older version, The new one is fine, but don't buy it. It's the perfect tool for practicing math skills
5/5

It does have higher numbers to add more challenges. In preparation for the upcoming second grade, I have been practicing addition and subtraction skills with my daughter over the summer, and I am looking for a fun way for her to practice since flashcards bore her to tears. As it is, my daughter finds that the maximum addition fact is 6+6, which isn't challenging enough for her. My choice of this game was between Sums of Space and this one. I was not a fan of the Sums in Space board. I am happy with this one. This game has a swamp board, creatures pieces, and an endless loop which gives players a chance to get engaged in and make up for time lost. Still, it's a good learning experience for those who are new to digital games. The game can be made more challenging if you buy an additional higher number dice. I bought one here on Amazon that is 12 sided, so we use one of the number dice from this game along with one of the higher number dice, so the equations are definitely harder but not frustrating. It's possible for her to get 12+6 or 12 sometimes as well For an even harder game, you can use two higher number dice. This makes 12+12 the maximum number of dice allowed. Even if we aren't quite there yet, eventually we will be, so it's nice that she can grow with the game. It is a game in which you have to roll a die and solve the equations to move that many places. In some instances, the spaces have even or odd numbers on them, which you roll dice to find the specified even or odd and then move accordingly. Other times, there are numbers on the spaces, so you roll plus or minus dice to get the appropriate forward or backward movement. A race to the finish line is won by the first one to cross. Depending on the equation you roll, you can make a lot of moves or make just a few. This means that there is a lot of back-and-forth between the players. This game is particularly good for practicing math facts, but you may also want to get some higher number dice to make it more I had a lot of fun playing this game!.

This version contains an error because of an inaccuracy in the original printing
3/5

I love the concept of this game and have heard so many great things about it. There was a change in the number placement on the board of the new version, and now we have to change the rules of the game, making the endless loop so frustrating. As of today, I see that the error has been corrected, as all the numbers in the endless loop line up now with the new versions of the boards. Would you mind telling me how I can get a replacement board that's not faulty? (From comments in other reviews, it appears other customers have the same complaint about the new version as well, so it's.

The three of us played this game today for the first time
4/5

Nearly perfect. This new version is so much different from the previous version and the other reviewers who complained about the change were The older board's explanation of how it worked was helpful. There is a deduction of one star because of this. I landed on exit after about three or four trips around the loop, so I was lucky to reach the end. Those other two players went around for what seemed like a hundred times, and everyone got quite In the end, I found out how to get rid of the pain by reading the helpful reviews. Neither of the final two players were able to make it out until they swapped the 3 and 5 spaces (mind you, I won long To avoid repeating my mistake, I will use a marker to cross out the poorly placed 3 and 5, and then write them in their proper places. Although I am disappointed the game board will not look nice, this is not the most important aspect of the game. In my primary goals for my children, I want them to perform and enjoy math as well as have a good time bonding during family games.

Mission accomplished!.

Helped 6 year old a lot! I bought this game a couple weeks ago for my son, who is 6 years old
5/5

Math was his least favorite subject! There were no addition or subtraction skills in his arsenal, even using his fingers was not possible. Observe what has happened in the last two A few years ago we played a version of this game at his request (a miracle). It has now been done six times & The situation has significantly improved for him! The majority of his adding and subtracting was done in his head tonight, without the use of fingers! Game recommendation we highly recommend it!.
